can non-e-ride nighters stay in park?

Just out of curiosity, can people who are already in MK when the e-ride nights begin remain in the park even though they haven't got a wrist band? My husband and I thought it might be a nice time to take a few night photos throughout the park with less crowds in the way. We wouldn't stay there very long. I don't see how they could get everyone not wearing a wristband out of the park. I would think if you aren't staying for e-ride night then you would have no reason for staying, so I don't think many people would even be interested in doing this. What do you all think? Is it allowed? And if it is, do you think the e-ride night people would frown upon it because it would prevent the park from having that empty feeling? (I realize just the two of us wouldn't make much difference, but if others have the same idea then it would.) We won't do it if it is frowned upon, but I just wanted to check.

Sure you can stay! The only thing you can't do is ride any rides.

I've never heard of CMs booting people without wristbands just for walking. If anyone does, just explain what you said in your post.
As long as you don't stay a long time, I doubt anyone would even notice!

I am pretty sure you would not be allowed to stay. As for them being able to get everyone out that does not have a wristband, they do it for the Halloween Party and the Christmas Party. So yes they are able to get everyone without a wristband out, plus they are constantly checking for wristbands throughout the night.

The way I hear it is that you can stay in the park but you won't be allowed on any attractions without a wristband.

It sounds like a good opportunity to take some nighttime pictures. Good Idea!

From what I experienced from e-night and going to the MVMCP they do it differently.

The MVMCP was very strict about seeing wristbands to get past main street. Plus we got our wristbands when we showed them the ticket for MVMCP at the gate. Also the rides quit at 6pm and didn't start back until 7pm when the MVMCP started. For e-nights we got our wristbands earlier in the day and came back that night. We only had to show wristbands to get on the rides. They were not checking them walking around main street.

Personally I think you will be fine taking pictures. Just don't abuse it by trying to get on rides or anything. I don't think anyone will question you taking pictures.

Yes you can- my mother came with us to an e-night but didnt want to ride rides. It was actually a CM that said she shouldnt buy a wristband if she was just going to walk around with us. If the shops are open it is also a good time to make purchases- most people are using the time to ride.

Absolutely. I've never seen anyone escorted out because they did not have a wristband. Often we see the older guest pushing the strollers while the other family members (with wristbands) ride the rides. They do, however, check for the wristbands for every ride we ever rode.

I'm going to conference in Orlando in June and am only going to have one day off (June 25) to get to the parks. I see that it is an e-night. Will the park be more/less/about the same crowded than any other day because it is an e-night? (i.e, more locals) Also, will there be 2 Spectromagic and/ Wishes? I'm going with a friend who has not been there in over 20 years and was hoping to get in early and do 2 parks (MK and MGM), but will change plans if MK is going to be packed. TIA!

E-Ride Night will not really affect locals at the park because it is for resort guests only. I've never thought that it had any impact on the crowds at all.

Just remember that this is a ticketed event and if they do ask to see your wristband and you don't have one don't be offended when they ask you to leave. I have worked in MK for 7 years and we do have people around the park that are checking for wristbands even though people are not riding rides. They will not check on Main Street as the shops will still be open for day guest for a little while after the eride starts, but having worked at the Riverboat for 3 years and worked the postion... I can assure you that there are CM's asking for wristbands. We had 3 CM's at the stockade that would ask for about an hour to an hour and a half into the e-ride and if you did not have one you would be told that the park is closed for a private event and that you would need to proceed to Main Street to exit. Security is checking as well. Keep in mind too that with the other comments that were made, generally if you are say a family of 4 with grandma and a stroller and the CM's can tell you are obviously all together they may not say anything about grandma not having one, but if you are a couple by yourselves they will.

My point is just be prepared to be asked to leave as there are CM's staffed for this...

All I know is on non-E-ride nights..they do not kick you out at the stroke of ??? ("park closing" time)...people are too busy shopping on Main Street..so for at least an hour--there is no booting to be had.

That being said--if you are photographing in the Main Street USA area--you should be pretty safe to stick around.

I am not sure on the other lands.

My family has been to many E-nights and in my experience they ALWAYS check for wrist-bands. They were stopping everyone who did not have one and would not let them in past Main Street. One time we were with my SIL's Mother and even though she did not go on rides she still had to buy a wrist-band to get into the closed off area. I haven't heard that they changed this policy.
