Next Tuesday I can start making my ADRs. I was just wondering if anyone had some professional advice for me! I've never made them before so could use the help. We made our reservations for the resort/tickets through AAA. Am i better off calling or using the website to make them? What information is best to have ahead of time? When can I start calling/making them? Is it mid-night or does it not start until a certain time in the morning? Thanks everyone!! :thumbsup2

2 things I have read on here (no personal experience):
You can go online at 6am EST or call starting at 7am EST
Someone also suggested practicing first so you are familiar with the prompts.

Anxiously awaiting March 31st so I can make ours :rolleyes1

I made all of ours online.I prefer doing it myself, seeing the choices, and editing myself. You get confirm emails (they can be wacky at times though and confuse you a bit if they are wrong or dont come). But either way, you can see all your ressies online and I thought it was easy to do and liked having the control.

Thank you for the time! Good to know. I think I will probably do them online. I hate doing phone calls.

I agree. I like much better having control of things. That over-organized planner in me. Thank you so much :)

Confirm in advance that you can see/verify your reservation in the dining reservation section of the website.

If there's an issue doing that online the morning of (I just had one last week due to a mis-matched phone number), then it's a long hour to wait between 6 and 7 am EST when you can call in and resolve it with a live person.

You should be able to do this now by attempting to make a rez for 180+ days... You'll get a little yellow box that shows up "noticing" you're trying to do this... It'll allow you to enter your resort confirm number and arrival in there, see if it recognizes it.

Other tips:
I like to start at the end of my trip and work backwards, the further out dates have the most availability, and I can book my favorites heavy on the back-end of my trip.

I'm going to go try that right now to see if the reservation will show up! Thanks for that tip. Also, great idea about trying to later days first! Makes a lot of sense. Boma we definitely want to do on a day later in the week, so this will def. come in handy then.

So, how'd it go?:) Did you get what you wanted? Did you call or do it online?

hey! I got everything I wanted. Before I made the ADRs, I decided to switch the day we were going to do Boma, so I made sure to do that one first. I went online, probably about 8am, and it only took me about 20 minutes. Added that we were celebrating our honeymoon to each one. Everything went smoothly! PLUS!! I got the call from AAA that our travel agent switched our discount from 30 percent off room to free dining and saved us $300!
