Can kids swim in mid 60's?

We went to an EE park early one morning during the 2010 record cold when in was in the 20's and there was a man, swimming in one of the quite pools at CSR. Steam was everywhere around the pool and he was just floating around in there!! Swimming is not a big deal to us on our wiinter trips but one year at the WL DS wanted to swim and it was maybe in the 50's. I took him a sweat clothes type outfit and dried him off as best I good and just pullled on the warm clothes to run to the room for a warm shower. It was nice and warm in the pool.

LAYERS are your friend. t'shirts,,,then hoodies and hats and gloves to add and remove. Pack a little bit of everything!

We are leaving Wed and trying to see if kids could swim. Bummed to see that the weather isn't to get out of mid 60's. Now, what to pack? Capris? Jeans? Looks like we will need everything from sweatshirts and gloves to tshirts. Was so hoping to be wearing shorts and flip flops!!

Agree we're heading down Saturday. Last jan we had mid 70s. Swimming is one of our fav things. Oh well will get to enjoy parks more

That's what I thought. Might get one or 2 days in there. Now we can leisurely spend time in parks, go to Art of Animation, rent a movie. Things we never has time for. Have a magical time!!

I'm heading down there Friday (another Ohioan) and am a little disappointed in the temps, especially Saturday's forecast, but it's still a lot better than what we'll have here in the north. BTW, if you hear me shout "O-H", I expect a nice loud "I-O!" in response! :)

Heck yeah!! We were there in the fall in football Saturday Have OHIO in front of Epcot

It all depends on what you are used to and where you are coming from.

Being from Western Canada (hit Montana and go north), an average summer's day is around 65, 75 is pretty darn warm, and 85 is a/c at full blast and slurpees. Would we hit the pool in the 60's? You bet. At a minimum, I'd be wearing shorts and a t-shirt, and have sunscreen on.

Gloves? I scoff at your gloves... Maybe if it's 10 or below, but our average daily high in the winter is in the low 20's, and 32 means it's time to unzip your coat. We were watching all of the panic around the "polar vortex" last week, and were wondering what all the fuss was about - yes, it was chilly and you needed to wear a toque, scarf and gloves, but 20/30/40 below with wind chill??? Prolonged cold snaps like that happen a half dozen times a year. Once again, it's whatever you're used to, and there is no "one size fits all" answer to a question like this.

As a Brit where it is around 50 Fahrenheit currently in London and I'm rarely wearing gloves, the idea of packing gloves to wear in Florida seems very strange!
I've never been to Florida when it was less that 70 though, but that is still nice and warm to me, would swim in a heated pool. Last time I couldn't even get into a hot tub when its 85 outside!

I live in central Florida about and hour and a half from WDW by car. For several mornings last week it was below freezing (-1 celcius) on my way to work. Later this week it will only be about 12 celcius as a high. It definitely can get cold here. I was really wishing I had a pair of gloves last week!
