Is this play area entirely water-related or are there some areas where kids will stay dry? Thanks!

Behind all the water elements you will find the Ball Factory, where kids can spend hours shooting harmless foam ball at each other and unsuspecting bystanders.

You can reach the Ball Factory without getting wet but my guess is that for most kids the temptation will be just too great.

That's what I'm wondering. Will we get there and then regret not having the kids' swimsuits. Is there a place nearby for the kids to change?

Your kids WILL get wet. If you can't stand the thought of it, do not bring them there. There is no point if they will not get wet. I would bring swimsuits or at the very least, leave their sneakers with the grown up. My kids loved the area, but my dd - 5 was not keen on walking around all night with a wet shirt. Or you could pack an extra in the backpack. On the plus side, as a parent you can sit and relax - you can see your kids at all times, unlike the Fivel playarea, which I found to be a nightmare.

There is a bathroom right by the play area by the Barney show. They can change in there. We did that with our son. You will definitely want to do this. They will see all the other children getting wet and having fun and they will want to do this too.

Cameo.. why not put the kids suits on under their clothes...?

They will dry off pretty fast when they are finished playing and even if they are a little damp with their clothes back on it is no worse the the water rides that will totally soak your family!! :p

A friend of mine had this grand thought, also... she decided she was going to go THRU without getting wet. Well, forgetaboutit!! The people in the Curious George area have WEAPONS and they LOVE aiming them at those who try to stay dry! She was SOAKED! :bounce:

If you are determined to stay dry in the Curious George area, it is possible. Follow the footprints along the left side of the wet area to the back building where the ball factory is located. You completely avoid the wet area by going this way. I do warn you that when your kids see the wet area smack center and up front they may very well just run straight into it, at which point, it's all over for staying dry!!!
