We will be on the dining plan for the first time. We have the 1 CS, 1 TS and 1 snack per day plan.

Can I use 2 TS in one day?

Example, we want to try one of the AKL restaurants after our AK day but we don't want to give up our Tusker HOuse breakfast. SO can I do both of those in one day if on the DP?

Thanks!

7 more days til I make my ADRS!!!:cool1:

:thumbsup2

You will just have to not have a TS on another day (or pay OOP for something)

ETA: Although sometimes this is not smart..we had brunch at Tusker House then early dinner at Ohana...it was hard to stuff everything in!

Thanks! I wonder if it will be too much. Maybe I will make my Tusker House adr for before park opening that way we won't miss out on anything :)

i am new to disney and new to asking questions on forums..i have searched the threads for two days looking for an answer that sort of goes with your question....if i purchase a 7 day park hopper with dinning plan and only plan to actually go to the parks for 6 days as we have to leave for home early on the 7th day does this mean i can use the 7th day meals, for the three of us in my family, sometime during our 6 days? if so then it looks like if i purchase the 8 day plan it is only about 15 dollars more total package price and that would mean for 15 bucks we can have some character meals by joining the sit down meals together...am i totally off base with this??? we are thinking of going in may if that makes a difference....sorry if this is confusing...:)

Other than requiring a ticket purchase as part of a package, the dining plan is not related at all to your park tickets. You received dining plan entitlements based on the number of nights of your resort stay.

If you are staying 7 nights, but only have 6-day tickets, you still get 7 nights' worth of credits per person. Even if you upgrade to 8-day tickets, you'd still only have 7 nights' worth of credits per person.

You get access to your pool of credits when you check in, and may use them anytime and in any fashion until the midnight after your checkout morning.

oh ok...so what we are planning (have not booked yet) is to get the magic your way plus park hopper plus dinning plan plus hotel stay from may 22 to may 28...the quote on the web site was $2991.14 but when i upgraded to this entire package from the 22nd to the 29th it was only 15 more dollars and even looked like a ten day stay was only 45 dollars more to the total... so if we wanted to add 45 dollars more to the 2991.14 we would have a lot of meals that we could combine and have quite a few character or nicer meals even if we leave on the 7th day...you know ck out early...does this seem worth it?

Which resort? Those numbers do not seem right?

Also understand that you cannot "combine" or share character meals. Everyone over age 2 will be charged for those. Same with any restaurant with a per-person charge rather than a la carte ordering.

Don't know what dining plan you are looking at but two extra nights of dining plan should cost more than $45. Are you considering booking more nights than you intend to stay? Not sure how that will get you a better price. Are you on a free dining promotion?

I agree. When I read her post she writes as the whole package including the room is only $45 more, which is impossible, right?

It's extremely unlikely. There should be a per night cost for the room and the dining plan. I can see those kinds of numbers for the tickets but not the whole package. The dining plan itself costs $45 per adult per night.

jacqueline'smom JMO but where I think you're getting confused about is the part where you say "when i upgraded to this entire package....it was only 15 more dollars and even looked like a ten day stay was only 45 dollars more to the total" - because it's not really the entire package, but only the ticket portion that is being upgraded.

Just to use as an example, I looked at POP May 22 - 28, 2 adults, 1 child with PH and DDP.

Disney's Pop Century Resort
Check In May 22, 2011 Check Out May 28, 2011
Staying for 6 nights, 7 days
Adults 2 Children 1
Room Type:Standard Room
Tickets 7-Day Magic Your Way Ticket with Park Hopper®
Package Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining
Total $2,293.28

For example if I changed the ticket days to 8 day tickets there was a $15.97 difference:

Disney's Pop Century Resort
Check In May 22, 2011 Check Out May 28, 2011
Staying for 6 nights, 7 days
Adults 2 Children 1
Room Type:Standard Room
Tickets 8-Day Magic Your Way Ticket with Park Hopper®
Package Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining
Total $2,309.25 vs $2,293.28 in first example = or an additional $15.97

And changing to 10 day tickets adds $47.92

Check In May 22, 2011 Check Out May 28, 2011
Staying for 6 nights, 7 days
Adults 2 Children 1
Room Type:Standard Room
Tickets 10-Day Magic Your Way Ticket with Park Hopper®
Package Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining
Total $2,341.20 vs $2,293.28 in first example = or an additional $47.92

Those figures look like the ones you mentioned, but note these are upgrading the ticket days ONLY, and not for the entire package (hotel/DDP). And since you only get dining based on your resort nights, adding ticket days won't help with that.

Now compare this to adding a hotel/DDP night, which would cost an additional $239.57 ;)
Check In May 22, 2011 Check Out May 29, 2011
Staying for 7 nights, 8 days
Adults 2 Children 1
Room Type:Standard Room
Tickets 7-Day Magic Your Way Ticket with Park Hopper®
Package Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining
Total $2,532.85 vs Total $2,293.28 = or an additional $239.57

HTH! I know it's disappointing when you think you found a great deal and it's not quite as good as you hoped.

:goodvibes
