Can I use my Mother's ticket to get FPs if she hasn't come to the park yet?

I've always gotten a couple of extra FPs by using the grandparents tickets for rides that they don't intend on riding ;) . This trip grandma has decided to come to the park later in the day to meet us. Can we use her ticket in the morning to get FPs and then meet her at the gate so she can get in with it? I've gotten so spoiled by having them along and using their FPs! I guess I'm lucky they don't like TofT, SM, SM, BTM, RnRc...

I'm pretty sure that the ticket has to go through the turnstyles in order to work in the fastpass machine.

Sorry, you won't be able to. Grandma will have to enter the park in order for her ticket to get a Fastpass.

Have a great time. We'll be waiting for you. :goodvibes

Sorry, no. You can't use a ticket for a fastpass if the person has not entered the park by doing the ticket/fingerscan thing.

We just tried this last week with my dh's ticket because he was attending some meetings for a convention at the resort for a little while. No luck. The tickets aren't eligible for FPs unless they've gone through the turnstiles at the entrance on that particular day.

I don't know how easy it would be for you to just meet up with Grandma at the gates. The timing of that would be pretty tricky.

I just wouldn't attempt this, and I'm willing to bet the above posters are correct in that the tix have to pass through the turnstiles to operate FP machines.

How accurate are those finger scan things? You could try going out and coming in again with her ticket. If you get by the finger scan you are all set. If not, you just need to say whoops, i was using the wrong ticket which happens by accident many times I am sure.

Then you can meet her later outside and walk in again together...Even without hoppers, you can exit and return to the same park.

And I guess I can't put her ticket through, then walk out and give it to her when she arrives? Meeting up shouldn't be a problem. She'll just call on my cell when she get there. She wouldn't have a hand stamp though like I will when I exit. I'm thinking that is where the problem may be.

They don't do handstamps anymore. But each ticket is scanned at entry and then matched with a finger scan. You put the ticket into the slot, stick your fingers in and once your fingerprints match to the ticket, the ticket shoots out and is validated at that point and ready to be used for fastpassing. This was probably implemented to cut down on people using other people's left over days and sharing tickets. I think you are just out of luck! Just remember to look at the time on the bottom of your fastpasses you get with your own ticket. If you come in early you can get them way faster than two hours apart.

Even if it were possible to get her ticket through and get a FastPass, she would not be able to enter the park afterwards. So you might as well do it 'the right way'. It's not going to work as you have outlined.
