*Fantasia* said:For anyone who is renting a car... Why not just grab the bags and put it in the trunk of the car and everyone ride the car. Simple.
I usually rent a car even staying on sight. Why would I want ME bus to take my luggages. The rental company is downstairs and the baggage claim is downstairs as well. It's not so hard to pull the bags from the conveyer.
Same thing. When we do a split stay, I just take the cab (this is when we don't rent a car) to the other resort. I got my kids and our bags with us when we check in. Rather than having someone else transfer the bags. And your room may be ready right away, but your bags are still at the other resort. Then of course, you wait.
We ar a family of five. Kids will be 8-13 years old, and we're going at Xmas. I plan to ship through a small box with a very small tree, some lights and some presents. Since the weather can vary so much in December, we need more clothes, and heavier clothes, than our previous two trips (late April and August......we essentially only brought a swim suit, shorts, t-shirts, a sweatshirt and poncho!
I was able to rent, on site, an intermediate car, for 8 days, for $100 (taxs included) That's big enough for the driving we'll be doing.....essentially to the parks, DD, resorts for meals, and maybe one trip off site (there are a few restaurants we like off site) There's no way our luggage would fit in an intermediate car, probbaly not a van either! Adding on the extra two days (our travel days) adds an extra $50..still reasonable, but $50 is $50!
