Can I use half board vouchers in Café Mickey?

We are going in September and it will be our daughter's birthday while we are there. When I booked we got free standard half board, we are staying in the Santa Fe and I was wondering if it is possible to have lunch in Café Mickey and to use our vouchers against the bill total?
This is our first time to go so we are fairly clueless.

Ps just thought you don't have to eat from the set menu at cafe Mickey you could just get pizza and chips then the vouchers will prob cover the cost of the meal.

That's great thank you. Do one of the characters bring out the birthday cake? Would you have any idea of where else would be nice to eat that's not too expensive?

Yes if you book a birthday cake at least one character will usually come with the waiter who brings your cake. If you go to this website you can look at the restaurant menus, they are a bit out of date but it will give you an idea of price and food.

The buffet restaurants in the parks are all included in your meal plan. Also the one at your hotel too. If you have a good breakfast, then ate in one of the buffet restaurants at around 3pm you could probably get away without buying any other food, and just eating snacks you bring yourself.

The counter service restaurants in the parks are all around the same price (around €12 per adult for a set meal with a drink). Lots of them just do burgers and chips types of meals but in others you can also get pizzas, pasta, Mexican food, sandwiches etc.
Earl of Sandwich in the Village gets great reviews and is very reasonable (less than €10)

yes, its fine to order pizza to share, drinks, and then pay with your standard half board vouchers at their cash value .

you can phone to reserve a table a couple of weeks before you go .
