Can I use a Disney Gift Card for alcohol and tipping

Hello all, was wondering if anyone has ever used a Disney Gift Card for Alcoholic drinks and tips. We are going to WDW in Sept for a week and would love to have a beer or two with dinner. Do all restaurants accept the Disney gift card? We are on the Dining plan as well and would love to be able to tip with a gift card. Is that even possible? That way I can buy the cards today and know I have that money already set aside.

Yes and Yes!

We were on the plan and used our gift cards, which we got through a promotion, for all of our tips and things on the bill that weren't covered by the plan (aka alcohol).

I would imagine that anywhere that accepts the dining plan would accept the gift cards. We didn't eat anywhere that did not.

Yes, in most places (and the places that don't allow it will also not accept the dining plan).

Nice. I was wondering the same thing. SAM's Club had $100 gift cards for $98 and also included a free $10 Disney Shopping card so I bought several....okay I bought eight. I need to find out if The World of Disney accepts the $10 cards. If so, that would be wonderful because I am turning 40 this year and plan to pick up some 40th gifts

I believe that those $10 cards are only for online shopping... I could be wrong, but that's what I took away from several threads about it when the Sam's deal came out.



OP I had a special giftcard reserved for my booze LOL. It especially liked being used for Grand Marnier slushies in Epcot.
