Can I use 2 days of a park hopper in 1 day?

If we only needed to park hop on one day...could we get an extra day on our MYW ticket instead of paying for the park hopping add on since adding that extra day is MUCH cheaper. Will having that extra day on the ticket get us into the other park on the same day?
