My mom gave me 1 day park hoppers that she won in a raffle. The passes look like normal park hoppers and actually say 1-day park hopper complimentary on them. Does anyone know if these can be upgraded to APs? And if so, do they apply any value for these or none at all since they're "complimentary"? I'm kind of hoping they will upgrade them just like they would the free birthday pass.

Also, if they are upgradeable, does anyone know if we can get the remaining balance we owe for the APs put on the monthly payment thing? (we're so-cal residents)

Sorry for all the questions. I haven't been in a few years, so I feel like a newbie all over again.

I don't know for certain, but...

When you upgrade a ticket, they take the cost of the AP and subtract the value of the ticket you have. If it says, "Complimentary" on it, my guess is that it has $0 value. So, my guess is it would have no value towards an upgrade.

Yeah, I just did some searching, and that's the answer I've been able to come up with, too. Oh well. I think it would actually work out better for me to sell the comp tickets and buy a 1 day pass to upgrade.

Thanks! :)

IF the cash has a cash value printed on the ticket, you should be able to put that money toward an AP. if not, there is no value to it, therefore, cannot be put toward a ticket...

Such as like CM comp tickets or Blue/Red/gold/etc Passes. They hold no value but FREE! :)

Can Bday Fun Cards be used to upgrade park hoppers (ours will be 5 day for the price of 3) to AP's?

I know it works if you're already an AP holder and wish to upgrade.

Yes. We are using DHs to upgrade 6 for 4's into APs.

You can upgrade complimentary tickets to Annual Passports.

It'll be;

$134 - $0 = $134 for the SoCal Select.
$174 - $0 = $174 for the SoCal.
$269 - $0 = $269 for the Deluxe.
$389 - $0 = $389 for the Premium.

Complimentary tickets have no value as they are free. They have a $0 value to use towards upgrading.

"Birthday Fun Cards" have a value and that value (whether $69 or $59) can be used for upgrades.

I also believe this to be true. Each parkhopper has a value on it and that is what is applied to the annual pass. If they have 0 value on the parkhopper then they cannot be upgraded.
