Can i upgrade a 1 day park hopper pass?

I got a 1 day disneyland park hopper pass for christmas. i am wondering if i can upgrade it to a 2 or 3 day hopper pass. how would i do it, where do i go, and how much?

What a nice gift!! Yes you can upgrade, they will put the value that's marked on the back of your ticket towards the new hopper! You do this at the ticket booths outside the main gates! Have fun!
