Can I transferring next years points?

My mom needs 40 points for an upcoming trip. I would like to transfer these to her. The problem is I only have 38 left in the 2008 use year. Is there anyway for me to also transfer 2 of 2009 points, and then have her borrow them to 2008? We both have the same use year and resort, if that helps! I hope that made sense!

You can transfer your 2009 points to your Mom, but it won't help because transferred points cannot be borrowed. Can you just book the additional nights in her name using your current 2008 and borrowed 2009 points?
