Maybe if you can find your pins on PinPics.Com, post the URLs here. That'll make it easier to give an opinion. Hmmmm...now I have a strange urge to go to a
Disney Store...I think there might still one left in metro DC.
The WDW pin-trading rules (as I understand them) are:
"Copyright Disney" or "[copyright symbol] Disney" on back of pin
Cloisonne (or cloisonne-style or enamel/metal or metal) construction
No plastic or rubber "pins"
Slightly OT...
Pins bought anywhere in the world that fulfill the above (yes, until the Official Rules change) can be traded at WDW. At the moment, even if I as a collector don't trade them?, that still technically even includes Sedesma and/or ProPins. Until Disney corporate possibly changes their suppliers and/or trading "rules", the Sedesmas are "legal".
Sometimes some CMs might actually refuse a legal trade or they don't know the actual trading rules or they make a nasty remark about a pin they don't recognize (yes, all three have happened to me, the nasty remark was from a MCO/DS CM about a
Disneyland "small" pin), but that still doesn't change the Official WDW Pintrading Rules/Guidelines.
All of which are subject to change at Disney's discretion

.
Even with the plastic/metal "rule", there are two old Disney Store pins (Forget which series, but from when Disney owned the Stores, maybe about 6 years ago?) that have a shiny golden finish. One has Walt on it, the other is a "Rocketeer" design. The pins "look" metallic, but actually are *not*...they are actually plastic, but they still get traded around.
I'm intrigued by your "Robinsons" find.
agnes!
