As the title asks - specifically wondering about the small pair of scissors inside of the kit.

Due to last minute complications I'm trying to figure out how to get away with taking a tiny pair of scissors on board - just to cut some gift wrap. We were going to pre cut it here - but at this point we're running out of time.

They also have mini sewing kits at guest services if you desperately need one. Ask me how I know 😂

They don’t have any scissors in them though.

I always travel with a small pair of scissors in my toiletry bag - everywhere I go. They don't have a very sharp point, but they are definitely not safety scissors. I've never once been questioned about them, or even thought I might be.

On our cruise last March I had 1 piece of luggage held by security. I had a pair of kids scissors in it. They had me open the luggage and show the scissors to them. I was able to keep them. They were a pair my dd used in preschool so not sharp at all.

I brought the tiny scissors that came with my Swiss Army knife with no problem. The blades are less than 1 inch but it did cut paper.

Yes, I took a pair of scissors from a sewing kit on the Fantasy in September with no problems. I learned this after having a bag held with a regular size pair of scissors in April.

Yes, you need dollar store kid's scissors. I would take them out with the toiletries if you are also flying.

Wait - can't I put my toiletries in my checked bag?
And the sewing kit as well?
Yes you can. We always put everything in our checked luggage, never do carry on luggage. Some airport security are really strict about making you have items out of any carry on bags when they go through the scanners. Seems like any time we fly out of MCO they change it. Sometimes they've made us take any gum/candy out and other times they didn't. Pp may have thought you were putting them in carry on bags, not checked.

I often travel with a small pair of scissors (kids scissors) with my knitting and have never had a problem.

Check scissors, if you can, for the plane. Even if they are blunt, TSA likes to change things up sometimes. Unless you have precheck, which seems to follow the TSA rules more often.

This has been my experience.
