Can I switch my magic band to my daughter?

Last time we went my oldest was too young for a park ticket. So I got a dumbo magic band for myself and let her just hold it. This year we have to buy her a ticket since she's reached that magical age where Disney starts charging. She is really excited to use the dumbo magic band for herself but it's linked to my name. Is there a way to move it to her? She's always had a profile on my account just no band linked. How do I move it?

Bands can't be transferred, but what you could do is purchase another MB that has the same (or similar) color puck, assign that new band to her, and then swap the pucks out using a small screwdriver.

That's the easy way. Bands can be transferred - you have to call.

I don’t think you can transfer the MagicBand yourself. Some CMs can do it. We ran into someone at the check in desk of AS Sports that reassigned a MB for us.

Oh wow I had no idea it wasn’t so simple! How annoying! I guess we will bring it and see if they can do it for us there!
