With all the changes to Disney Dining Plan, can you still share meals. My daugher (17) and I shared all our meals on our last trip on the plan. We were still way too full. Will they still let you share meals?
Since this issue is not specifically addressed in the Disney Dining Plan brochure, your best bet is to call Disney Dining at 407-WDW-DINE, or asking at each restaurant when you are there.
The problem is the plan does not work for us -- way too much food -- if we cannot share. I don't want to have to order food at a meal that we can't eat. We usually share a few meals and then use the extra credits for a signature meal. I guess I better call.
Does anyone have any experience with sharing a meal recently? On our last trip in Feb. it was no problem.
People have been reporting no problem at some restaurants, and that it was a problem at others. it really comes down to the individual server on that day. As a general rule, assume you cannot, be happy if you can.
People have reported both things, so I would make your decision based on the most restrictive experience, since some guests have experienced that. The brochure says that the Dining Plan is non-transferable. The issue is how that will be interpreted, and further inquiry about whether sharing is allowed or not based on that restriction needs to taken-up with Disney directly.
