Can I share something OT with y'all?

I posted this on the Comm board, but I feel closest to my scrappy pals here. My husband has been activated to go to Ft. Bliss Texas and then onto Iraq on 8/19 (going to TX on that date...Iraq in Feb). We have known this was a possibility, but were told his unit would be going to Afghanistan in Sept 05. So, we tried to get pregnant two weeks ago (he's been wanting to for almost a year now...he finally convinced me) and guess whose pregnancy test was positive this afternoon!?! I'm shaking....I know it's a blessing, and God will take care of me, but it's just overwhelming! Just keep us in your prayers, and I will update y'all now and then. Thanks!

Thanks so much, but I probably won't have any new mommy questions....this is #3 for us! I've been on the mommy roller coaster ride for 6.5 years now, but it is always such a fun ride!

I did scrapbooks for my other two, but this will be my first Creative Memories book and I'm excited. Sometimes I get irritated looking at my other two baby books (binder style with the 8.5 x 11 page protectors) and wish I could redo them, but I know that just kind of shows my style throughout the years. Can't wait to get the new baby pages and hmmmmm..... a blush colored album or champagne? I have tanzanite and sapphire tagged for family albums, so I thought champagne would be a perfect baby color for a boy and I can't resist the blush as I have two boys right now and haven't had much opportunity to do anything pink!

Alice---Congratulations on your pregnancy!! I hope you're feeling ok and all is going well. I remember the feelings and excitement when I found out I was expecting all 3 of my girls. The first one was very exciting b/c we had been trying for 8 yrs! That was extra special. The 2nd one was exciting b/c we had been trying for 2 yrs and knew that it would happen some day just didn't know when. The 3rd one was a shock. I was on the pill and had gone in for my early exam and to schedule a tubal. Told Doc I hadn't been feeling all that great but didn't know why. He took a test and SURPRISE! DH and I were blown out of the water. I told him surely God will give us a boy now that we had 2 girls. Surprise again! Girl #3 on the way. Of course I wouldn't have it any other way now but it wasn't exactly my perfect little plan. I always try to remember "God's time, God's Plan".

We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers for your health and the baby's as well as your husband's safety.

Congratulations!! Thoughts and prayers are with you! I'm a product of my dad leaving for sea duty! Nine months after he shipped out there I was to welcome him home.
