2 exciting things have happened this past week!!! Hope you dont mind if I share!
First thing is more a personal yeah!! Second is beyond exciting!!
1. My son who just turned 3 1/2 went off of the diving board!!!!!!! His sister swims for USA swimming so he spends a lot of time watching or swimming!!
He could swim in 4 feet which is over his head and we tried him in the diving well. He could swim across unassisted and jump in and swim back to the wall with no help. So up on the board he went, with me in the water to grab him if he needed help! He walked right out and jumped in, swam to the ladder and said "That is fun!!!" We let him go off a few more times and he loved it! Being 3, of course you have to take into consideration the lack of maturity, so he could never go off without daddy standing in line with him, helping him up, and me in the water just incase. But he can swim!!
2. We live near an airport and they are doing a sound installation program. They want to be able to bring in bigger jets so they are sound proofing homes nearby. We thought they might run out of money before they got to us so we were not sure if our house would be done. You get new windows, doors, air conditioning and heat pumps replaced, new duct work, more insulation to your outside walls.
Well wouldnt ya know, our air conditioner breaks!! So I call the airport and ask if they had any time frame of when our house would be done. They say if they get more money, maybe in 2012!! I told them why I asked and the lady said she really couldnt help us.
The next day she shows up at my door and said "This never happens, but I spoke to the head guys on the project and they want to squeeze you in with this next phase!!!!" Actual construction doesnt start till Jan but they will replace the air/heat pump unit now!
We are going on Wednesday to start picking out designs for the doors and windows!! It will be over $30,000 worth of work for FREE!!!!!!!!!!!
At least I have till Jan to get rid of a lot of crap in this house!! Yeah!!!
