Can I room with a friend that has a different arrival date?

My close friend and I both got accepted into the DCP and want to be roommates. The problem is we have different arrival dates due to our roles. My question is can we still be roommates even though we have different arrival dates?

The answer is usually no, unfortunately enough. It's mainly because of the arrival dates as they pair people in housing based upon it.

You've got to look at it from a practical perspective. It would be hard for them to hold a room (or part of one for roommates) until someone shows up a later date. The housing fees are usually proportionate to the number of people in a single apartment, which would make things even more confusing.

I'd recommend finding another roommate to pair up with in the meantime (Here on the Boards, Tumbler, The Facebook group) so you can find someone that you get along with instead of being paired when you get down there.

I am having an extremely difficult time finding anybody I can room with on my arrival date. However I've found tons I'd like to room with on the day before my date. Is there any way I can change my arrival date?

If I get stuck with people who party and drink a lot I am going to die.

You can go to your Disney dashboard go to the arrival date, and then select "reschedule your appointment" however you're not guaranteed that the arrival date before your current one is open.

Only if you have the same check in/out dates (which isn't likely, unfortunately).
