i remember it being a tame ride... why is it on the do not ride list for pregnant women?

will they let me on the ride if i'm obviously pregnant?

I can't answer this for sure but I would think you would be okay on the bottom row (since the upper rows raise up in the air).

If you can't go usually it's just a case of liability, the "what ifs". I doubt the ride could injury you :confused3 as it is very tame.

I admired you ladies that go to DL very pg. I don't think I could have done it, I was huge ;)

I rode it multiple times throughout my pregnancy... anywhere from 2-8 months along.

I rode Soarin.
The technique I used when it came to rides is I asked myself will I enjoy myself, or will I be worried? If I would be worried I passed on the ride. I figure I am there to have fun and that does not include worrying about the baby being safe.

The ride is very tame, but the seatbelts might not be too comfy for your belly. I can't imagine a CM will stop you and say, "Stop, you're pregnant. You don't get to soar over California!"

Just answer, "How dare you insult my weight!!!" :lmao:

My sister was 3 1/2 months pregnant with twins (and showing) and rode soarin several times. It was one of my niece's favorite rides, especially since she got to ride it with mommy.

it's a fairly tame ride and very smooth (at least the EPCOT version is). You should be just fine.

There is o official Disney warning on Soarin related to pregnancy or guests with heart conditions like the ones you will find on Space, Matterhorn, Indy, Star Tours, etc.

I say go for top row middle section! It's worth the wait.

thanks for all the replies! i'm super excited to ride soarin' with my family... dd was too little last year and we had to swap. i'm so glad to hear that there is no disney warning - dh won't have to stress about it :)

dangermouse - how do you get seated in a specific section?

Just ask the CM very nicely if you might be allowed to wait for front row/middle section. If it's available, they'll let you wait a cycle for it. :goodvibes

I've always heard, and I imagine, that the main issue is nausea. It can make some people a bit green around the gills, so if you're already having problems with that, you might, for your sake and those around you, skip it. Unless you have someone snag the air sickness bags from the moving cars on the Sunwheel ahead of time for you. :goodvibes

I was five months along with my fourth ( and definately showing) and rode with no problems. I think that they have to put disclaimers on almost all the rides now for the "sue-happy" public. Have a great trip!!
