Can I return an item to Target without the Tag??

Yesterday I bought a coat at Target. Being the dummy that I am....I ripped off the tag before I tried it on because I was sure it was going to fit. Well of course, it doesn't. I do have the receipt and I have the tag, it's just not attached to the coat anymore. I haven't worn it yet, and I'm hoping I can exchange it for a different size. Will they let me?!

I've done this before!! Target is excellent at this (as long as you have the receipt! Lose that and all drama breaks loose, lol!!) Also, I did this for a pair of pants for DD once. We got them, tried them on, took them home, washed them and the pants completely fell apart. Uh-uh!!! Took them back, had no problems.
