Can I rent DVC points from 2 different DVC owners?

Another question regarding renting of DVC points. If I need a set number of points for my trip and the person I rent from doesn't have enough for what I need, can I make up the difference will a different owner? How does this work? Would I have to check in twice and possibly move rooms?

Each member would have to reserve whole days and the reservations would need to be linked. If you need 25 points per day, you couldn't get 157 points from one member and the rest from another. You'd need full days from one member.

You would have to have exactly the same type of room at the same resort to avoid moving. For example, one member couldn't get a standard view BWV room and the other a preferred view room at BWV.

Deb is right, and it COULD get pretty complicated if you aren't within the 11 month booking window for the specific resort you are looking at. It kind of depends on the size unit, time of year, and resort, but if what you are looking for is on shorter notice and during a popular time of year, it could be hard to find that available room from two different owners. THe best would be if you got the two of them in contact with each other and had them set up a conference call so they could make the ressies at the same time through the same MS agent. That way you KNOW your unit is available to add on dates and that the ressies will be linked.

It's a little easier to understand if you realize that you CANNOT RENT POINTS - what you can rent is a reservation that a DVC member has made for you. So, essentially yes, if you use 2 owners, you are renting 2 reservations. As previous posters noted, you can have those reservations linked (if they are for the same resort, type and size of room) and not have to move.

Additionally, if you have any request including Magical Express, each member you are renting from has to make the requests for that portion of the trip that they rented to you.
