We will have a Concierge room and a sv studio. Is it possible to to put the same occupants in both rooms. Some of our partywould sleep in one room but use lobby for refreshments (therefore needing Concierge key)? We will not be over the occupant per room limit.

The lead name on the reservations needs to be different, at least that is what we were told. In February DH and I stayed at BWV but we had one night of AKV concierge so we could do the Sunrise Safari. The AKV night was in the middle of our trip and we didn't want to move so we just kept our BWV room for that night. When I reserved we had the week at BWV booked in my name with DH as an additional occupant and we had the AKV room booked in DH's name with me as an additional occupant. MS would not allow us to have simultaneous reservations with the same person as the "main" occupant. All worked fine for us, no problem at check-in.

 I personally would never do that unless all the people were staying concierge. That just seems like cheating. Maybe I am not understanding you correctly. You want your guest staying in a SV room to have access to CL because they are staying on your points-- since you will be staying CL with your points as well?? I think there are issues with the same people being on 2 reservations like people who stay on points but have reservations at Pop for free dinning. I would not think they would be entitled to the lobby of CL if they were not in the room. But it poses an interesting question and I would like to see the answers you get....hmmm

I would be bent if I found out people in a SV were enjoying food at CL and not actually staying there. Even if they are friends of the person on CL and using their points. That is the purpose of CL, it is supposed to be special and only used for people in those rooms. I am trying to be tactfull but that is like another thread...someone renting a FW campsite, but not using it...they wanted it for EMH and were staying off property...so they thouht $63 was reasonable (cost of site) for this on-property perk. Yes they paid cold hard cash for the site, but ethically it kept other families from getting in to FW and maybe that was all they could afford. It seems people tent camping at FW have to make reservations a year in advance to get a tent site for this reason.

See to me this is different from what the OP is saying. He is asking if other people can join him on the concierge level when they are actually staying in a SV room. I do not have a problem with your situation because you were physically occuping space on CL.

If you are asking if there is a way to allow those registered in the SV room the ability to get concierge services because you are under occupancy (and thus can double register them with you), then I would guess the answer is no.

Actually - the answer is yes. A reservation allows a up to a certain number of people to be registered to a room. Nothing requires that they actually stay there.

The caveat is always the dining plan but if the OP is not getting that then it isn't a problem.

This would be a question to ask Member Services directly. No matter what other poster's opinions are on the matter, it is Member Services that has the final word.

My guess would be "No." But since you are under occupancy limits, they may allow it.

OP (me), is on a wait list for a 2-bdrm CL. Doubt that will ever happen.
Problem occurred when son (who is in his 20's) invited GF. He does not want to sleep in same room as gf even though DD would be in same room(its wonderful that someone his age still has values). So I have an additional room for DD and GF. DS and GF will not be in the parks everyday. They will want to chill at resort some. I would think the living room of the CL would be the place to be. Now, neither drink Liquer, but might want a cool beverage (soda) while they set on the balcony watching animals. I can't imagine one having to going to restuarant to refill drink cup as the other just goes to cl lobby, when IO am not over in room occ limits.
So actually we will be using all rooms. Daytime living room as meet and relax as a family, and an extra bdrm for comfy sleeping arraingements at night.

I just wish DVC would get more CL so all those who would like to enjoy it, could. My DVC guide told me to buy at Saratoga as Kadani would have many CL rooms. Glad I did not listen to him when I added on.

I had a similar issue with using the SAB pool. Since I would have a 2 bd but only 4 people in it, I could put the names of the other couple that would be saying at SSR on the BCV ressie too so they would be able to use the SAB pool since I was not over the limit and they could have been in my room anyway. Your situation sounds the same. The lead name can't be the same though.

I'm almost possitive I asked MS about it too.

My situation is similiar, but a little different. We are staying one night, one bedroom concierge, to access the Sunrise Safari. We were, originally, a party of five adults and a two year old. Well, now we will also have a newborn.:goodvibes So, we were REQUIRED to book a CONCIERGE room to allow the use of the lounge for all. This was per MS and a CM at AKV concierge. I could not book a regular studio and double book a guest.

Good to know. I thought MS would not allow for people to be on two reservations at the same time but maybe when it is the "additional" guests and not the lead, it is different.

Yes, I think the important thing is the lead name on the reservation.

I wish, I had a "yes" from Disney. I'm paying $400 because I wasn't able to book the same person in two rooms. I'd much rather use 14/17 points. We're waitlisted for the additional concierge (DVC), but I'm not counting on it coming through.

Can a 2 yo and infant go on the Sunrise Safari?

I checked with Concierge and was told yes. There is no minimum age requirement for the Sunrise Safari, but there is for the Sunset Safari.

While I understand that it feels emotionally different, this is really no different than adding guests to your reservation so they can use the pool. I wouldn't do it but I can see where some might.

The only reason there are any CL rooms at AKV was that DVC had to take over both the sixth and fifth floor. Since the Concierge Lounge is on the sixth floor there was no way to keep those guests out of the lounge. So they made those five two bedroom lockoff units concierge level villas. Unless the same situation happens, there probably won't be any more concierge villas.

Not sure if it is different for concierge but I have booked multiple rooms many times and had my name on all of the rooms to make sure I had a key.

I've been able to get extra keys as the owner without having my name on all the rooms as a guest. They really have gotten a lot more strict in this area within the last year or so. We have 9 exchange units for Sept and I may not know until we get there who will actually be in attendance and who will not be. To complicate things further, some factions of the group are going to get the DDP (at least 2 different versions) and some won't.
