Can I put juice in my checked luggage?

Maybe you could pick up a shoe box size plastic container to put it in. I would wrap it in bubble wrap first. Then save the bubble wrap and use it to wrap things you have bought and then place that item in the container for a safer trip home.

Our super Walmart selling the Sam's brand of apple juice that comes in those easy to carry sleaves that you just add to water and it taste no different except that it does not contain sugar!

eeww. That has got to be the furthest thing from real apple juice as one could get. I wouldn't feed that to a baby. jmho

It's not the moon, it's a developed, advanced continent. I buy water for 12p for a large bottle at Tesco, or less than a Euro for a large bottle in Germany or France. Soda may be more expensive because most people don't drink it that often.

24p for 2 litres - I don't see those prices in America even for bottled water. http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/tesc...neral_Water/Clearview_Sparkling_Water_2L.html

I never said it was the moon just expensive to buy water and soda in tourist destinations in Europe. I was traveling with a group with no transportation of my own. The only choice we had was to either bring our own or buy it in a tourist area where it is expensive. Also this was before the euro was released and every country we went to had their own currency. It was just easier as well for those of us traveling with plastic and very little cash to bring our own as many places would not accept plastic without a minimum purchase which would get very expensive if you only wanted a bottle of water. Not to mention much of it was sold out of street carts that did not accept plastic. We can get water very cheap here in the states at grocery stores and club stores. In tourist areas of course it is always expensive even here. Just to compare we can buy 24 16oz bottles of water for under 4.00. I can buy a gallon of water in the grocery stores here for under a dollar. In general I think things are more expensive in England than here. I looked at the website link and milk is about double what it would be here depending on the exchange rate of the day.

1 British pound = 1.6555 U.S. dollars
24p = 0.3972 US dollars

Yeah sorry about that I took notice to that a little late. :) I thought you were saying it cost you 24 pounds lol. My math is off today lol. I don't know why I associated $2.00 with 24 lol.

When I was in Europe it took over $2.00 to equal a pound so it has gotten a little better for us. Granted I will give you that unless you buy water here by the gallon you do not get it as cheap as .39 cents for a 2 liter but if you do buy it by the gallon it comes pretty close to that price. All depends on the brand of course. I prefer my water direct from the tap which is very very cheap.

I also use the "to-go" packets; I am happy about the apple juice one, because I am trying to give up as much sugar as possible.

That is the one thing I hate about juices; I love the flavor but it is so hard to find some without any sugar at all.

We went overseas a few years ago; and were sitting in an outdoor cafe getting dessert and some water. We pulled out our crystal lite to go. One of the servers walked up to us and asked us what it was. We explained it to her and she said in broken English (we were in France), "Oh, you americans, you think of everything."

I always bring my own juice just to have something in my room to drink. I usually buy juice boxes and double bag them in a ziploc bag. If one did break, it wouldn't be the same as if a huge container broke open and my luggage would soak it all up instead of leaking onto someone else's luggage.
