Thank you. I messed up the sleeves of the shirts (those are the hardest for me!) but I think they'll still like them!

I will help you with whatever I can for sure. I bought the "dark" transfer paper at Walmart for about $10 (much cheaper than Staples!!). You can also order the paper from www.amymickey.com. She's a fellow DISer and I've read the paper she has is great! I just didn't have enough time this time to get it from her. I also got the shirts at Walmart - just plain shirts for under $4 each I think.

Basket is easy this time. I'm just going to drop it off at their hotel when we're out and about on Friday. They're staying at Carribean Beach so I'm sure we'll go past at some point. I called yesterday to be sure it was ok that I dropped something off and was told it was. I know you can also send a package to the resort (I did this for part of the "big give" for a DIS member). I think you need to have their name and/or confirmation number to put on the package. I'm weird and wouldn't my name and my confirmation number on the package...you never know who else might see that and try to check in or cancel or mess with your reservation....I'm weird like that!

YAYAY!!!

Ok so here's the update on the hotel situation...

I called the hotel after booking with Hotwire (remember, Dan's decision! :rolleyes1 ) and they told me to call back in 48 hours as that's how long it took to get to their system from Hotwire.

I thought it was probably better if I had something in writing so I emailed from their (hotel's) website. No response to the requests I made. :headache:

I asked Dan to call last night and confirm as I was packing a few other things. He called the hotel and came into the bedroom and told me "they don't have it". The hotel had NO record of our reservation. Of course at that moment, my blood just starts to boil. Generally, I'm a pretty nice person but boy, can I be a witch sometimes too!

So I ask Dan to call Hotwire to see what they have to say. Dan calls and the Hotwire guy calls and the hotel doesn't have the reservation. Hotwire tells us to call back this morning and see if they have it and call Hotwire back if they don't.

I called bright and early at 9:00 when the reservation office opened for the hotel....NO RESERVATION!! At this point, there was no apology...just call Hotwire and see what they'll do for you. Uh NO!

So, I wait on hold for Hotwire and spoke with Chad. Chad was not helpful so I asked to speak with a supervisor....Chad was a supervisor. Well then I wanted his supervisor. Chad said he could put in a request but it could take up to 48 hours.....SERIOUSLY???? I'm leaving tomorrow! 48 hours is rediculous! With that he thanked me for calling Hotwire and hung up on me!! :scared: It I was ticked off before, that pushed me over the edge!

I called Hotwire back and got another supervisor, Tina who magically called the hotel and they had my reservation. Hmmmm. So I called the hotel and she had a fax from Hotwire with all of my info. Hopefully there will be a room for us tomorrow night....ugh! Too much stress!! Next time I just need to book with Tracy (condo) and avoid the hassle of all of this!! No more listening to my husband! :cool2:

So if you guys hear of a someone being beaten by a crazy woman about 10 tomorrow night, it's probably me and the TR will probably be even more interesting! :rotfl2:

While I was on the phone with the hotel, I let them know I didn't want a junky room as I'd read some really yucky reviews of the hotel. She told me people could write whatever they want when they're mad. I agreed with her and told her I didn't want to be one of those people (like I am right now!!). Here's to hoping all goes well tomorrow night! I just want to get to Disney and have a great time!!

Oh WOW sister!!! I would've been just as bi**#y as you were!! I can't believe that guy on Hotwire. I wouldn't use them ANYMORE!! I normally just book through the hotel directly. Sometimes it's cheaper that way. So you better get the room you want and hopefully your room doesn't look like a rent by the hour kinda room. :rolleyes1 You know???
Have a great trip!

Happy Hump DAY!!! You leave tomorrow!  Are you ready??

We must have been typing at the same time earlier! Not quite - almost but not just yet. I've still got some packing to do yet tonight.

Yeah they're (Hotwire or the hotel) not getting any more of my money that's for darned sure! I guess, aside from being hung up on!, the part that ticks me off is that the hotel hasn't apologized for anything yet. I better get a darned good room for all of the stress involved to this point! :rotfl: Dan hates it when I complain. He called when I was on the phone with them and told the girls he felt sorry for the people on the other end of the phone! :lmao: Yeah probably....better them than him I guess right??? He just thinks we're going to get something even worse at this point because I've been calling and complaining. I'm telling you I've printed out pictures from their website. If my room isn't all fancy like that, it's gonna be on!

Deep down I really want this to all work out and just have one less thing to worry about!

On a happier note, we got our MI tax refund this week and our SC tax refund today!!! WOHOO!! Our Fedral refund is supposed to be deposited Friday! Perfect timing!!!

I can't believe I forgot to tell you guys about this:

So I was hanging out on the cake thread on the restrurant (sp?) board since we've had cakes at Disney and they've been yummy and I wanted to do something special for our friends.

So, as part of the new "theme" for this year, you can get an adorable little pirate treasure chest with a cake in it. Perfect! And to beat it all, it was $15 which, yes is kind of expensive for a plastic treasure chest with a cupcake in it, but by Disney standards is reasonable!

I decided yesterday to call MK cake hotline thingy and order them for the boys for the morning we have pancakes with pooh. The un-friendly CM tells me they can't take orders for them - you have to order them when you check in. I tried to explain I wanted this to be a surprise, not on our friend's dining plan but on our bill, ect. She wouldn't help me out at all...so now I'm debating doing them. I think the boys would think they're pretty cool and since they're small, they'd eat them and we wouldn't have to fuss with a cake and carrying it around until we were ready to go.

My other option would be to do a "custom" cake (which is going to be about the same price) but this would entale either begging CP to hold the leftovers for us or taking it with us throughout the park. I guess the other option would be to send DH to the car with it! :rotfl: I can't see him going for that though!

I've got to look at everything again tonight and see if we want to do it or not since you have to order 48 hours out....ugh!

Here's the link to the "Celebration" stuff from Disney. The cake I was talking about is the first one there. The "custom" cake would be like the Mickey head further down. I'd do either that or something with Buzz and Woody since that's who Austin's into right now.

http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/ce...hasCelebrationTypeFacet=facetValueng:birthday

Alright....have to keep busy for two more hours until it's time to go home!

Hmmm... what to do, what to do???? First of all, you tell that DH of yours that you HAVE to speak up. If you don't, people will walk all over you. And, you have certain EXPECTATIONS that need to be met because they are promising a service. That's that. You and I would get along great!
Um, the cake thing, I have no idea. I went to the link and they both look so cute. But you are right. You don't have much time to figure it out. I think that whatever one you pick, it will be great and they will love it! How many more hours????

Good Morning!

It's 5:12 the morning we leave and I cannot sleep anymore!

Corbin just walked out (oh boy it's gonna be a long day!). He climbed up here with me and managed to squeak out (first words of the day) "we go to Disney today!" with a big smile! I said "we do?" and he asked how could forget! :rotfl: That's my boy!! So I guess I'm not the only one who's a bit excited this morning!!

Well Amy called last night and she's up to something...she wanted to know what size shirt Dan wore. We'll see what happens!

I talked to Angie and there are intermitent contractions right now....still no baby that I know of this morning! I know Sandy's only staying until the weekend as he's planned to be back at work on Monday. Still waiting for that baby!

Well we got the van all packed up lsat night. I got almost everything to fit in the back except one of the strollers (we take two - the double one gets too heavy pushing both boys; it's just easier to take two of them).

As for the cake, I'm still not sure just yet....I have to decide today though. I guess if I don't do anything early, I'll know it's the pirate ones! :rotfl: (I love process of elimination!)

Here's Corbin's contribution this morning:

:lmao: :happytv: :rotfl:   :yay: :santa: :3dglasses :worship: :rotfl2:

(Can you tell he just likes the pictures!!?!?)
Ok now I have to find something to do to keep me busy for the next hour and a half then try and stay busy at work today!:rolleyes1

Oh WOW. Work is gonna stink for you today. I'm not sure I would be too productive the day I leave for vaca. Tell Corbin that I enjoyed his pictures today and that he and Carter should have a great time at Disney with their friends.
Here's to hoping that that baby comes soon! They get a mind of their own when they don't want to come into the world.
You guys drive safe and have a really good time. Can't wait to hear how it all went!

TWO DAYS    I'm so excited for you!!!! We do the "sleeps" too for our little one when she wants to know how many days left. It works!!!!
I try and clean too before we leave for vacation. I don't like to come home to a messy house. Now, day to day I can look past, but there's something different about being gone and coming home.
Here's to hoping you find Austin some Crocs!

Your trip sounds so crazy (but fun!) atleast you didn't have the dreaded looonnggg countdown :rotfl:

FYI- I am 24, no kids...and I still do the sleeps for myself because i just get too excited:rotfl2:

I'll be sure to tell Corbin that you liked them. That's his favorite part of the DIS! :rotfl:

I'd love for the baby to come soon! Can't wait to meet her!! :cutie:

Yes I love not having a big countdown but I'm missing my planning time!!

I agree with Lisa - whatever works for you to count down those days! :rotfl:

I forgot to say this morning....I showed Corbin pictures of the cakes I was looking at. He picked the plain ole chocolate and vanilla cakes you get at the podium! I asked him like 6 times! Then I made him pick between the treasure chest and Mickey head so he asks "you mean which one I like more after the brown and white circle??" :rotfl2: Yes that's what I meant....so he picked the treasure chests so I guess that's what we'll go with! pirate: pirate: pirate: My three little pirates will be happy.

Alright...I'm out of here in 8 minutes. Dan just called and he's on his way to the bank to get quarters for the penny machines.

My guess is that you are half way there!!

Hey!! We're here! Since we have internet access at the hotel (it magically works for Dan and not for me when I tried all morning long waiting for people to wake up!) I thought I'd give you a quick update while we're waiting for our friend's plane to land.

FIRST - BABY UPDATE!!! I'm hoping to have a better update soon. As of this morning/early afternoon, they were inducing labor and are hoping to have a baby tonight or tomorrow. There were some problems with the baby's heartbeat so that's why this decision was made. As soon as I hear anything, I'll be sure to share! (I'm hoping maybe I'll be "Auntie Lynn"!!!!)

Ok - so Disney update!!

We managed to get on the road by 4:45 last night and I was driving. I had full intentions to be here by 9:30. Well, we no more than got almost to GA and a light came on on the dashboard.....:headache: And it was windy....not good conditions for me to drive in. So the prayers began.....PLEASE let us get to Disney without having to rent a car and tow the van home....PLEASE!

Dan stopped at Walmart and got some oil thinking maybe it was low but the light's still on this morning. We've talked to a couple of people and read the mannual and it could either be that we got worse than "normal" gas milage or the air filter's dirty. Dan said they mentioned that last time he got the oil changed but they didn't have the right one to replace it.

So I was up at 4 this morning waiting for the rest of the room to wake up. Check in went good last night - I think we got a decent deal considering people that were checking in at the same time as me were told the "normal" rate was $109/night but they could lower it to $79 since they wanted three rooms then wound up lowering it to $69/night since they booked two nights. We paid $31/night plus $10/day in parking and "hotel" fees....:headache: I gave the guy my printed confirmation when he needed the number last night and forgot to get it back....when we went and asked for it this morning, they didn't have it...:sad2:

As we were packing for the park this morning (we meaning I :rotfl: ), I realized what I forgot. For those who've read any other TR, you know I always forget something. Usually it's something silly like my pjs or something. This time it was Corbin's bag of medicine! :scared1: Thankfully we've never had to actually use anything (praying we don't need to this time!) and the benedryl and epipen I always keep an extra in my van so we've got the basics at least. I'm so frustrated with myself for forgetting something that import though!

So, we hit DHS this morning to try and ride TSM. We got there at least half an hour early and the lines were already back to where you buy tickets/will call windows. I knew it wasn't going to be a "good" day at that point. Of course we picked the "wrong" line since the machine didn't read the tickets so it took way longer than it should have to even get in. The "rope drop" was a bit different this morning since it was/is ESPN weekend. I have NO - ZERO - NONE interest in ESPN. As we're walking in I can feel my normal Disney cry coming on. Dan's all excited because it's Sports Center or something crazy like that...I have no clue honestly. Dan saw some guy (Schwab maybe) and we stopped so he could get a picture with him. Then it was off to TSM. HOLY CATS! When we got in line - literally at park opening, the wait was 55 minutes. By the time we got to the point of entering the building, the wait was 70 minutes. When we passed by about an hour later, the wait was up to 90 minutes. The fastpass line was unreal even first thing this morning - I swear it was as long as the line for the ride!!

So we rode the ride and walked past Mater and McQueen - the line was too long for me to justify waiting knowing we'd be back with Chris, Amy and Austin. So, we headed off to the ESPN Play Zone (I think that was the name!). We signed our lives away to get the boys a little bracelet so they could play the games. We watched the Harlem Globetroters (we'd seen a couple earlier walking into the fastpass line for TSM at park opening) for a few minutes and Corbin was very impressed and has decided he's going to learn those tricks.

In the ESPN thing, they had the ESPN radio booth and we got to see them interview Scottie Pipen and some football guy (Dan knew who he was). Corbin got to kick soccer balls, throw footballs, shoot hoops and some other "sport-ish" things. He said the shooting hoops was his favorite thing from the morning. Go figure - we come to Disney and his favorite thing is something he can do in our driveway!

We came back to the hotel and went swimming for about an hour. Carter gave in and took a nap for about an hour and a half....Corbin not so much. I think he forgot to pack his listening ears for this trip.

Alright....I'm going to put some pictures in here as well - Please don't think this is my TR. So not the case. I even brought my "old" camera and took some video of Carter in the pool this afternoon. Once I figure out how to post that, you'll have to listen to his laugh! It's so contagious with his excitement!!

You're there!!! It looks so beautiful, and warm and... Disney!!! I'm glad that you made it there safely and that the car got you there. As far as the light in the car goes, we've had cars where the light just stays on? Get it checked out when you get home and everything will be o.k. Glad Dan had a moment of testosterone boosting!!

BABY UPDATE!!!!!

SHE'S HERE!!

Samantha Joyce was born last night at 5:14. She was 6 lbs 4 oz and 19" long! She's got black hair and blue eyes. Judging by one cell phone picture - she's bound to be a princess and her Aunt Lynn will be sure she follows that path! princess:

Disney update -

Yes Lisa, it's incredibly warm - like 77 yesterday. I actually have a sunburn! Today it's supposed to be 82 but rain tonight or tomorrow morning. Hopefully tonight. Sunday and Monday are supposed to be in the mid 60s which isn't really bad weather either!!

Oh yes Dan had fun and got many doses of testosterone. I think he got mad at me asking who all those people were. There were soooo many walking around with Disney CMs in suits that I lost count.

Chris, Amy and Austin got in last night. We headed to DTD to see the lego store - Austin wanted some legos. Well, Amy and I went to guest services to see what was available for dinner - not much (which I expected!). We wound up at GFC and after dinner Austin drove us around in the monorail. By that time, it was almost 11 so we dropped them off their hotel and we got back to ours and were in bed by 11:30. Corbin's just starting to move around this morning and Carter's been up since about 6:30 so they should make it through a good part of the day.

This morning we're heading to AK and this afternoon we're going over to MK. Should be a fun day. Austin keeps asking to ride on Dumbo so hopefully if the line's long tonight we can convince him to wait until tomorrow morning since we'll be there first thing.

Alright....off to get ready!

Yay!!! She's here! She's here!!! I'm so happy for your friends!!
I'm jealous of your 82 degree weather, as I sit here with the funace running and coat on. Brr... Here's to hoping that Austin gets to ride Dumbo.
Have fun guys and thanks for sending us a little bit of happiness while you're gone. :goodvibes

princess:Welcome to the worldprincess: Princess Samanthaprincess:
