It is against the rules to park at a resort with the idea of using that for park parking. Still, there isn't much of an enforcement mechanism at present. If people do it, Valet parking and even parking in general may be taken away.Originally posted by TiggerFreak
Dean,
Is it not permissible to use valet and visit a park?
I look at the free valet parking at DVC resorts for members as not having any strings attached.
Now pool hopping . . .![]()

The things you can learn on these boards.
Never seen the sign(s) about this at any of the resorts.
I'll keep my eye out for them.
Not quite convinced that using valet parking for park visits is prohibited.
It is a "perk" with no "official" prohition on terms of use that I can see.
Maybe I need a ruling from the umpires![]()
Does anyone think that DVC members using valet parking at DVC resorts to visit parks would be so prevelant as to overwelm a resorts valet parking service?
There is a rule that one not staying there cannot park to stay at the parks. There is a rule that says that valet parking is free to members. There is nothing in writing that specifically says one can't valet park for theme park visits. While I guess it's somewhat ambigious, I think it's reasonable to assume the first rule applies accross the board. Still, I doubt there will be much enforcement and that if it becomes a major problem, the valet parking perk will go away or be limited, much like the Pool Hopping issue.Originally posted by TiggerFreak
"Valet Parking at the Walt Disney World® Resort
Disney Vacation Club Members are not charged for valet parking at Disney's Beach Club Resort, Disney's BoardWalk Resort or Disney's Wilderness Lodge, regardless of where you're staying. You must present your Disney Vacation Club Member card or Walt Disney World Resort ID with your "DVC Member" designation on it when leaving your vehicle to be parked.
Members will be charged the daily fee of $6.00 for this service at any other valet parking operation at the Walt Disney World Resort. Once you've paid for the valet service, you'll receive unlimited valet parking for the remainder of the day. Whether or not you are charged to valet park, gratuities are still appropriate. There will be no charge for guests with disabilities who have the proper permits. "
Where does it say where you can or can't go when using Valet parking?
