can i make an early morning excursion???

Hi,
I just booked a stingray excursion through native way at grand cayman, they have me booked for an 8:30 a.m. tour Can we make there by there 8o a.m. check in?? I thought someone said it takes a long time to get off the boat.

You have to tender at Grand Cayman...do they know you are on the disney cruise, and are they willing to wait for you if the ship is late..will you lose your money, etc are things to think about.

Because you booked it on your own...you will have to be up and ready to go bright and early and get in line for you tender coupon to be on the first tender off the ship. Where to line up for this will be listed in your navigator the night before. If you miss the first tender, I would pretty much say..you will miss your excursion.

There were people doing the early morning excursions, booked themselves when we were in line...saw them later in the day..they were a little late for the checking in times..but they made it and had a great time. Just make sure of the rules and regs, etc for the company you are working through.

I don't know if I would chance it. Is the savings that worthwhile to not book through DCL? If the seas are rough, etc, can you get a refund if they don't dock in time, or what if the ship diverts? Just some things to consider. We were on a cruise several years ago and we didn't make our port of call, ended up in Freeport instead of Nassau, people had booked stuff on their own, I don't know how it ended up, but they didn't make their excursions.
