One DL travel book says I can call 90 days before to get advanced reservations for the Blue Bayou. Another books says you can only do it in the morning, in person, at the restaurant.

Which one is correct?

TIA

Mary

I'll call later today and let you know... I have to make reservations for May 11th and that's 82 days away. :thumbsup2

You can make priority seating arrangements for the Blue Bayou by calling (714) 781-3463 (DINE) up to 60 days in advance.

The old system allowed guests to make PS arrangements in the morning for BB & the Golden Horseshoe, but that system no longer exists, and you don't need to make reservations for Golden Horseshoe anymore.

We were at DL yesterday and went to the hostess @ Blue Bayou & told her that we were told that SHE would give us tables there even though we didn't have a PS. Of course, we were messing with her since we know her - she's a former schoolmate of my dd, Kelly. So, if you should see Angie at the BB, she's been working there for 3 years now - tell her Mary Jo & Kelly said to say hey to her.

Since I'm a local (and AP holder), I don't usually plan my visits very far in advance. And I've had no problem making reservations at the Blue Bayou just a couple days before I go. YMMV.

True, but I would not wait until the day of. This last trip the parks were DEAD and people were getting turned away from BB left and right.

I just made our reservations for BB and Goofy's Kitchen this weekend. We're going 3/11-3/17. HTH.

We got in on one trip because there was a cancellation..but I would call ahead and make a reservation..the other times we have gone it is booked! We have all of our meals planned this time with reservations,...even the rain forest cafe..since they were packed last time..

Thanks! We're not going until July, so it looks like I have to call in May. The last time I ate at the BB was 21 years ago!

Yep... I made reservations 60 days in advance calling the dine number! Have a great time!

DEFINATLY MAKE RESERVATIONS!!! But make sure you book at least a month or so before you go to make sure that you get the time that you want.

When I went last year ... I kept putting off my PS res till about a month before I was going to go. Lucky for me, the only time left, was the times I wanted to make my res for!! It's best to plan ahead for BB! :)

definately make ADRs for BB. My suggestion would be to make it for the opening time 1130 am, then you get a better chance of sitting right at "the Bayou's" edge! This does not work for larger parties ( as far as I know), ( I think the max we have had at the bayous edge was 6) but whenever we have been 4 or less, we were seated at an edge table.

We just tried the new menu last week. The Monte cristo is still good, and It is nice it comes with a salad and veggies. They even had music playing on the balcony above. I do not remember that from last year. Anyone know if that is new, or just on weekends?

Enjoy!

My DH and I at the Blue Bayou just this last Friday. I made reservations over the Disney dine line about two weeks prior and got a good time for lunch. I also requested waterside over the phone, and even though they can't guarantee anything, we got a waterside table within 5 min. of checking in. I had the Monte cristo and it was great! Mine came with vege's and scalloped potatoes, and I got the cup of Gumbo beforehand. Definitely call beforehand! In the 5 min. we waited for our table, we saw nearly 10 people get told that they have no room unless you had reservations for the next 3 days!

Have fun!

We just made our April reservations for lunch at Blue Bayou. The operator said we can be delayed up to 1 1/2 hours if we request a water side table. Should we check in really early to get our name on that list? Our reservation time is 12:50.
