During a Christmas party night without a ticket and then leave right after or is that not allowed?

I'm planning on going to Magic Kingdom on a Sunday and it closes at 7 its a Christmas party night. I was thinking about making a castle reservation that night and was hoping I could make it for when the park closes and then leave after that way I don't have to waste a short park day in a restaurant.

Is this allowed?

No, it's not allowed. The last ADR time you'll be able to make is 6:50 I think. Otherwise you have to have a party ticket. We booked a 6:45 at LTT two years ago on a party night (we weren't attending the party) & it worked out well. I wanted to make the most of a short day, too, and wanted to eat in park so we didn't have to wait longer to eat because of transportation to another site.

When I'm not attending the party, I like to make reservations at a monorail loop resort for dinner around 7:30. That lets me maximize my time at MK and then have a relaxing dinner. If you want, you can even hang around the resort and enjoy the fireworks from there. Usually we choose Ohana, but there are a lot of great restaurants on the loop.

I'll consider that as well. Good idea. I need to decide soon. I think I have to start making reservations this week.
