Hi Everyone!
We got our pictures back from our last WDW trip. There is a pic of my 6 y/o son getting an autograph from a character and in the picture is a fat lady with her back to the camera. I thought, Geez, John (DH) could have tried to keep that fat lady out of the picture. Upon further inspection of the photo, I realized that they fat lady was ME! I had a huge laugh over that one---and then I thought at 33 years old, I do not want to be a fat lady!.
I do not follow a diet plan or anything. I do not have a scale so I cannot report pound weight loses. (maybe I can use the one at the YMCA?) I can tell you I bought a new dress on Saturday and my regular size was way to big and I had to get a size smaller. My jeans are so loose, I can now pull them down without unbuttoning them!
I changed my eating habits. Cut way back on soda consumption and snacks. Instead of fries or chips with my sandwich at lunch I will eat broccoli or cauliflower (salt and pepper only!). I work with kids at a before and after school program. Instead of eating snacks with them at snack time, I just sit with them and have water and chit-chatthat is 6 waking hours of my day I now go without eating!.
I have taken up rock climbing with my kidsthat is a workout and a half! My teen and I are going to start going to YMCA twice a week to use the fitness room.(I have hurt my shoulder and am waiting for an appointment with the orthopedic Dr. I realized I really do not need my shoulder to use the treadmill and other equipment and decided to get off of my duff and get going!) When the kids at school ask me to play Frisbee or baseball with them I get up and play now instead of telling them Ill just watch. I no longer care how goofy I look or how much the kids laugh when I run the bases after hitting a home run! And ya know what, I think the kids are laughing with me and not at me.
Well, that is my little story and my small success. I look forward to reading yours!
