Can I head straight to the park?

I am checking into Pop on Sunday 4/21 but would like to go to the MK first before checking in. I have the Magic Bands and have already done online check in. Will my bands be active for us ?? They have early EMH that day.

How would you be getting to MK from the airport? I always take the earliest flight and drop my bags at the hotel and hop a bus to the park I want to go to. There is a separate line for online check in that is never crowded in the early morning. It's good idea to let them know you are there so you will be notified via text when your room is ready. They tell you the room number in the text so no need to go to the desk.

The magic bands will be active for the parks as long as you have a ticket linked to your account already.

Honestly, I'm not sure about the bands. I would think they could activate them there? but IF you're driving (I know we're in the minority by not flying there) you won't have a parking pass and will have to pay to park if you don't check in first. Granted, they may reimburse you if you complain, but they don't have to.

Online check-in doesn't mean you've registered at the resort. You won't be allowed in the park for AM EMH because you aren't officially a registered Disney guest yet. You also won't have a free theme park parking pass, and if you have a package with dining, those dining credits won't be available. Scoot over to the resort early and just get 'er done. They open registration about 6am and they'll text you when your room is ready and what the room number is.
