Can I give old used magic bands to someone else?

My daughter and her friends are going to Florida and may go to MK for 1 day. I was wondering if I could give them old used magic bands, no days left on them so they would have to add their new ticket to it.

Thanks in advance :)

1. Nope.
Once a MB is connected to a guest, it cannot be transferred to anyone else.

2. There are never any tickets "on" a MagicBand.
MagicBands do not have tickets or anything else related to a WDW visit put onto them.
MB's only ACCESS the information (tickets, FP+, room door info, etc.) that is
stored in a guest's MyDisneyExperience file.

Nope doesn't work that way.
Once a magic band is linked to one person's MDE it cannot be linked to someone else's MDE.
BTW nothing is on the magic band. Tickets are linked to MDE and magic bands are linked to MDE and the bands just access the ticket info.

Ok, that's what I was thinking. So my daughter can use one of her old ones, but her friends will not be able to use any of our old ones. I thought it would be easier for them to have the band so they don't have to whip the card in and out every time they use their FP on a ride, but they'll have to deal lol.

Or they could buy their own depending on if they find it worth it or not.

Oh I know. I was actually trying to talk them out of going for one day since the 1 day ticket is so expensive, adding a MB to it would not be worth it for 1 day, at least I don't think so lol. Since they are paying for themselves I have a feeling they won't either lol.

If the MB has not been used for admission yet it's possible but I think that's the only time -- last year I bought several MBs from disneystore.com for our group and assigned one incorrectly so Disney IT was able to reassign since it was not yet used.

Another way is to Edit names in the MDX account and list the friends names. Link their tickets to them and use the linked MB.

Of course, you shouldn’t do this if there are linked tickets or APs in the MDX account. The friends’ biometrics get linked to the new tickets data and not to the MDX Profiles.

Using a card is not a hardship. And that’s what lanyards are for. Get a lanyard and a pouch and it’s right there.

Where did I say using the card would be a hardship? I have extra magic bands and just asked if I could give them to my daughter and friends to use as it is convenient. I cannot, no big deal.
