Can I get DVC for President's Weekend?

Firts, I hope I put this in the right forum. I am still getting used to what goes where .

Yesterday at lunch a friend invited us to join them next weekend. My DH said we could go, but only if we used points so what do you think my chances are of getting anything when I call at 9:00? I am vibrating I am so excited we might be able to go.

I got it, kind of! I got 2 nights at SSR w/ points and did the other 2 w/ cash. Not ideal, but I get to go w/ friends and I don't have to stay at the Embassy Suites w/ them . Thanks for your pixie dust!!!

Were the weekend nights the ones you paid cash for? I don't blame you for not wanting to be off site. We did some nights at Sheraton Safari last year. We had a very nice room, but we added our DVC so we don't HAVE to stay off site again.

It was half and half. I got one weekend, one weeknight on points and the same deal w/ the cash. I wish it had worked out being the two weeknights on points, but what are you going to do . I think a bunch of people will arrive on Saturday and stay through the week. I am getting so psyched!
