Can I get any info on AKL Concierge from a veteran DISser?

I won't tell the story again, please check my "bad day...good day" post.

We are on the 6th floor of AKL. Does anyone have any info on the rooms or the views? Which are pool view and which are Savannah view? Does the Concierge Lounge overlook the Savannah?

the lounge does not have a view of anything (other than the lobby).

Regarding the rooms, they are in the main building running along the two sides. One side overlooks a Savanah. The side, depending on the room either overlooks a Savanah and/or the pool. There aren't very many rooms that overlook the pool. The elevators are located on that side and take up some room. In fact, while your waiting for the elevator, you can step out on a balconey and see the pool (if I remember right).

I just read your other post, how wonderful for you! I believe there are designated handycap rooms on the 6th flr. between the Kudu Trail and Ostrich Trail. We saw giraffe, ostrich and some really interesting birds from the viewing area for that savanna. We also spent a good amount of time in the concierge lounge. The CM's that work there are very nice and friendly. The view of the lobby is great and there is a TV. We were there for 2 nights and never left the hotel! We had PS's for California Grill and Jiko's but canceled them because we were full from the concierge lounge. FYI, I paid 335.00 a night and felt like it was worth it and hope to get back again soon. Let us know how it works out for you.

AKL is simple the best resort! Okay, I admit I haven't been to them all, but I'm trying and AKL is the only resort to date that we have stayed in concierge, but it was sooooo wonderful!

The CMs are wonderful! Don even "played" Buzz Lightyear with my (obsessed) DS5. He is also fluent in Donald Duck.

Don't worry about food, they have it covered. Breakfast is wonderful. Pastries, fresh fruit and the coffee machine is to die for!

We never hit it right to fine much more that a few nuts or goldfish during the day, but at night - Wow! The before dinner treats are out of this world and the wine and cheese made for a very pleasant evening!

The hotel lobby, the gift shop and the rooms are perfectly themed.

The pool has zero entry and a great slide.

Two hot tubs; I know at least one is assesable.
