Can I get a fastpass for my friend if my friend is not in the park yet?

I will be at Cal Adventure in the morning. My friend will come in the afternoon. If I have her annual pass, can I get a World of Color fastpass for her in the morning before she arrives? Or will the fastpass kiosk not accept her annual pass because she did not enter the park yet?

It won't accept her pass because it hasn't been scanned for entry.
