I was wondering if I could reserve 2 rooms for my family using my name only? Or does another adult need to reserve the second room?

Connecting rooms are a request NOT guaranteed. A CM can't promise or guarantee that you will get them. Just a warning on that part

Yes you can. I did it without any problem.
Booked both right online.
Checked out first time with me and DH in 1 room
Checked out 2nd time with me, DD and DGD in 1 room.
Arrived at resort and had no problems. I did have to make a choice about which room my MB opened. I could have gotten a KTTW card for the 2nd room, had I needed it

It should be noted not that it makes a difference that OP modified her original post. The original post was quoted when I replied. I replied to the part where she asked about connecting rooms (not whether she could reserve two rooms in her name). The connecting rooms part (which can be seen quoted in my original post) has since been removed.

Excellent note. I didn't notice the difference in your quote. In our case, we did both, book 2 rooms in my name AND request connecting rooms. We got connecting rooms, which is why I did not need the KTTW card to open the 2nd room. We just kept the door open between the rooms instead.

Also, there was more than 1 adult in our group. I don't know what would have happened had the rooms been booked with only 1 adult AND we hadn't gotten connecting rooms. But the main point was MDE did allow me to book and check out with me as the lead guest in both rooms. Online check in was completed and final payment was completed. All without question, with only me as the lead.

I have a related question. I am traveling with a group of 7 in November. We currently have a 2-bedroom BC CL suite with tickets package booked. We are considering booking a regular Garden View room as well (with a request for adjoining rooms to be close by) due to the make up of the group and needing an extra real bed. I'd like to keep all 7 on the suite reservation to maintain CL privileges, but I would need to list 2 of those 7 (neither are lead guests in the suite) on the garden view room reservation. It sounds like that won't be a problem?

That one may well be much trickier since the bands can't open both rooms at the same time. And bands are quite important for CL.

If you call, they won't let you book two in your name...they'll have you use another adult on the second room.

I think that's ok. My plan was to do a package for the suite and room-only for the standard room. I would then order colored bands with the suite (so everyone knew that was their "ticket" and "CL" band) and just gray bands for the regular room (as the regular room "key" band).

Or, I just call signature services and explain the situation to them? We are traveling with a young man with multiple disabilities and need that extra room so we can accommodate everyone and his medical equipment. We aren't going over room capacity for the CL suite, so I'm just trying to figure out how to navigate.

I booked two stays for my family at the same resort st the same time online. One for full price and another on a discount. Once I got the whole 15 night stay for the discount I cancelled the other stay. So yes you can book two rooms under your name.

I'm working through it in my head and I think that could work. At worse, when you get there you can get the concierge in the lounge to straighten it out. Since their name is on the reservation for the CL room they should be able to see that and allow them access to the CL floor.
