can I eat lunch before the ressie scramble?

We're going on the Wonder and would like to get Palo for our last night and possible a surial bath for day at sea. We plan on being at the terminal by 10:30, so we should be boarding fairly early. Will that give me time to eat lunch or do I need to go straight to the reservation area? I'm just not sure how long it takes to eat, with lines, etc..

We have always gone to Topsiders/Beach Blanket Buffet before making our ressies and have had plenty of time.

Check your Navigator for the start times at the various ressies points (Spa and Palo). And check your watch. If you want to book something that gets booked fast (Surial Bath on sea days, cabana massage at Castaway Cay, Palo when you want to go), you may find it worthwhile to postpone lunch if you need to.

I left my family eating lunch, did what I needed to do and then rejoined them. I didn't book a spa thingie but I did go over there to see what was happening and it wasn't very crowded. I had no problem at Palo's getting what I wanted.

If you are at the terminal by 10:30, you should be one of the first in line, so unless they move up the ressie times, you should be able to enjoy your lunch first. As Dave said, be sure to check the times in the Navigator, as they are subject to change. We got to the terminal a little after 10:30 on our Jan. trip, and it was nearly deserted...no line at all. Only one check-in window was open, but there are was no line there, either.

Since Beach Blanket Buffet is very close to Palo (right below), if you get through check-in and on the ship quickly, have lunch send somoeone when the time comes (might go a few minutes early) while the others finish eating. We did this and my wife was only gone for a few minutes. We got the reservation we wanted.
