Can I drop a night?

DS is coming from Venezuela for our GG and he has to get back on Dec. 22nd. The ressie is from Dec. 19 through the 23rd. Will I be able to just drop the last night in his studio, or will a whole new ressie have to be made?

Our son is coming, our son is coming!

(We never knows for sure, he should be buying the ticket right now!)

I have this same question!

The Vacation Planner is not that clear on this.

What if you cant arrive until a day later then your ressie? Do you loose the entire ressie or just the points for that night?

The same with leaving early.

I know alot has to do with the amount of time before the ressie but would love someone to explain their experience.

I just this week dropped the last day of our June reservation. The CM said the Reservation # and confirmation # remains the same. Not sure how your points are effected with this late of cancellation though.

I'm not sure I fully understand your question, so I will give two answers. If his is a separate studio reservation, you can just cancel the last night without cancelling the whole reservation. If you are talking about a 2BR, and then dropping the studio part for the last night, I think they will require you to make a new reservation for that last night to keep the 1BR as I recall.

OK! We are more than 31 days out, and so the 9 '04 points that were used for the last day could even be banked because we are within the banking deadline for our March use year.

LIFERBABE, I asked about dropping the first day. Because we are more than 31 days out, we COULD have just dropped the first day, and the points would have been in exactly the same status. Once you are 31 days or less out, dropping either the first or last days would have put them in the Holding Account for the appropriate use year.

When they count days, they count back from the day of arrival, so today we are 32 days out. If we would have tried to do this tomorrow, we would not have been able to bank those 9 points. We are very lucky. I was counting from the day we were trying to drop, and so I thought we had a few more days of "grace." Pixie Dust has fallen on our family, again!
