Can I drop a day off of a reservation?

If I make my reservations tonight for March 30-April 6th, can I call tomorrow and drop March 30th off the reservation? I won't be at a computer tomorrow when booking opens. Is this what people refer to as walking a reservation? I've got to cancel one room in order to book another. I just don't want all the available rooms to go away before I can accomplish that.

Under the current rules, yes you can. I'm a big fan of a change is a cancelation and rebooking but that is not the current way DVC operates.

You can drop a day at the beginning or end of a reservation but you need to call to do it because it cannot be done on-line

Thank you both for your responses. I wasn't sure if they would have to cancel and then rebook to get rid of the one day. Thanks.
