Can I do Virgin Online check in and Twilight?

Ok so I haven't managed to secure my seats for the 4 of us together and I'm not worried at all . Can I do the internet check in get the seats I want then travel to Gatwick and get rid of my cases the night before?
I have already booked the hotel with parking which was a good deal (£155 for 2 rooms and 14 days parking).
Just wondered if I need to be there at midday as the twilight checking opens?
Any help would be greatfully received.

We had no problem getting the seats we wanted at about 4.30pm doing twilight check-in.

I'd be interested in the answer to this, too. My understanding is that, when you check-in online, you take your bags to a special collection point at the airport (i.e. you don't go anywhere near check-in). I suspect you can only drop your bags on the day of the flight.

Hi have done online check in and the twilight check in together a few times- the only thing is the bag drop wont be open in the evening so you have to queue up with everyone else- but it is a good way of makeing sure you get the seats you want

Thanks for your info everyone. I think well stick to twilight as we plan to dump the cases before going to the hotel. Saves us having to lug them around the next day.

we are doing twilight check in this monday( it's nearly that time for packing and panicing!!) we arrive in london about 4.30ish from edinburgh so we are just going to check in before heading to our hotel. we are staying in the rennaisance(anyone heard of it, stayed there got any comments).
You could always phone to book your seats together although i wouldnt think there would be a problem.

I did on line check in and then bag drop off the night before a few weeks ago, no-one questioned us or said we couldn't do it.

if you phone virgin atlantic you can pre book your seats then do twilight check in ,well thats what ive done so i hope its all going to work ok
