Can I do this?

I am tradding in via II and was told last week I could not get the meal plan because I was tradding in.Today I called to pay a resort fee(must be paid when tradding in)and the cast member asks if I want the meal plan.I tell her that the last cast member told me if I was tradding in I couldn't get the meal plan.She says oh yes you can.Anyone know what is the real answer.

I don't even know if it's a good deal when staying in a 1 bedroom because of the kitchen.The cost would be $895.00.We had it once before and I must say it was lots of food.

So my question is... Can I get the meal plan and is it a good idea for the price?Let me add we have a rental car so we could go off site for some meals.

Yes, you can add the Disney Dining Plan to your II/DVC exchange.

As for the value, it will depend on how you usually eat and what you would normally spend. Opinions of the value will vary from person-to-person.

There are threads on the Planning Board that discuss the pros/cons of the program.

If you are planning on going offsite to eat I would say don't get the DDP.

I can say with 100% certainty that you can get the meal plan but must be for the entire party for the full 7 days even if you only stayed 5 of the 7 days. It's often not a good deal for this situation but you should look at your party makeup, usual dining habits and do a few menu calculations to be sure.
