Can I do this- ticketing?

Okay all you ticket meisters-- can I do the following?

1) Buy my family plain old 10 day myw tickets (from Ticketmania)

2) then use 6 days

3) then add no expiration to the remaining 4 days?

If yes, how much would it cost to do the change?

The No Expire price is based on the original number of days and not the number of days left on a pass.

It is my understanding that as long as you are upgrading and adding options etc. you can do it at any time. I purchased 3 day Park Hopper in May and upgraded them at Guest Services to 7 day Park Hopper with No Expiration. I believe I paid an additional $166 for 2 adult/1 child ticket to add the extra days and no expiration

So then there is no financial advantage and I might as well buy the 10 day -no expiry right up front.

If you know you'll want the no-expiration option, yes, there is no savings to buying it later. However, don't forget to add the Plus option. With a 10 day ticket you'll receive 5 plus options (and since you want no expiration tickets) this will give you plus options for $9 each (and they can be used anytime).

As long as we are on a similar topic...

I just found out my step-sister and her family (including my nephews!) are going to Disney in November. Their last day was my scheduled first day, but now I'm conptemplating (and probably will) arriving a day earlier.

As it is, we are staying seven days/six nights with a seven day MYW Magic-Plus plan.

If we add on the eighth day, but don't want to add another day to our park plan, would our tickets still be good on our eighth day, even if we intend to only use the passes the last day for something like DQ? Or will our cards be entirely invalid by that eighth and last day?

If you are only going to Disney Quest (or water parks or Pleasure Island) on the eighth day, you do not need to put an "eighth day" on your pass, the plusses (if any are remaining) are still good.

MYW tickets expire 14 days after first use, regardless of how many days you have booked at the resort.
