Can I do this? Borrowing after banking and booking late

My use year begins in October. I had points left in my October 2010 use year--and I banked those already so right now I have no points left in my current use year (Oct 2010-Sept 2011).

Can I borrow points (not the banked ones) from my Oct 2011 use year now to book travel at a DVC resort for August 2011? (Just found good airfare--and we're all missing WDW so badly!) I assume since we're booking a DVC resort the Rule of Four doesn't apply in this situation but have never wanted to book a last minute trip like this. Thanks for any input anyone can provide!

Yes, if there's availability you can borrow points from your next UY to reserve a room. Rule of Four does not apply to DVC resort reservations.

just remember if you cancel that August trip you can't bank borrow pts you'll need to use or lose them
