We have points at BCV and points at AKV. It looks like everyone wants to stay at BCV next year, but I'm not sure I want to use all of our BCV points for that and the following use year. . .

If I use all the BCV points I need to to make a ressie at 11 months for BCV, and then call back at 7 months, if there is availability can I then use my AKV points for a BCV ressie (this would include Tkg week, so I know I probably won't get the entire ressie at 7 months) and have my BCV points replaced with AKV points so some of the BCV points are put "back."

If it were you, would you just book AKV for 1/2 the ressie at 11 months, book BCV for 1/2 the ressie (the more busy time) at 11 months and then try to change the AKV ressie to BCV at 7 months?

I hope this makes sense. . .I feel like I don't even know what I'm thinking anymore!!

Thanks!

If you are borrowing the BCV points, then they couldn't be put back to their original UY. They could be returned into the current UY. My guess would be it would be possible to change the reservation (basically adding a new one, then cancelling the original days). You might end up with two reservations there, I'm not sure.

As you noted above, Member Services won't do a swap out of the points if there is a waiting list, but if there is availablity you can make the second ressie at 7 months and link the two reservations.
What I would do is borrow points for BCV for the entire reservation because Tkg week is pretty popular (especially wed-sun).

If a 2 resort stay is not a problem then, I would make ressies for BCV (Wed-Sun) and AKV for the remaining dates and then W-L AKV for BCV at 7months if BCV did not already have availability.

Or you could do something even goofier - make 1/2 at AKV at 11 months and the full at BCV at 11 months (effectively doubling half of your need).

If BCV is available at 7 months swing the BCV reservation over to AKV points, use the borrowed BCV points for the the BCV portion, and bank your current UY BCV points to the following year.

If BCV isn't available at 7 months either suck it up and burn all of your BCV points and cancel the AKV res, or keep the AKV res and dump half of the BCV res and use the borrowed BCV points and bank the current year BCV points.

The options are almost limitless...
