ok...so i get all happy and make my reservations at disney for may of 2003. then my cold goes away and i feel soooooooo much better.
well today i decide that the cough meds i am giving DS are just not cutting it. so i call and make an appointment. not really a big deal. but would still like to have him checked out. we have an appointment for 2pm tomorrow. YAY!! we have a really good doc and it is sooooooo hard to get in last minute.
so now you are probably wondering...what the heck is she crying about?!??
well my boyfriend calls...says call the doctor i need to get a piece of steel taken out of my eye. he is a welder by trade. explains alot doesnt it?? LOL anyway, i call and get lucky. they had a cancellation. you have 1 hour to get here. so i go get him. we go to the doctor. he goes back with her, then comes back out. i ask if he is done and he says no. then he tells me he was just diagnose with degenerative eye disease. he will more than likely be blind by 35. if he is lucky.
we are young by most standards. only 26 years old. on top of this, we already know that he has chronic lung disease. probably wont live to see 50. he is in bad shape. we were planning a very early retirement. just so we could spend some good quality time together before it gets really bad.
anyone have a spare hug???

thank you all!
he is the kind that just rolls with the punches. you would never know anything was wrong with him. he went to the eye doctor about 2 yrs ago and the doc said nothing about this. then today when they checked his vision, it has worsened over two-fold. VERY not good. and he is sooo unbelievably stubborn!!

on a brighter note they got all the steel out of his eyes. he had 9 peices altogether and one peice of argon(??). i dont know. the doc said that if he would have left it to come out on its own (his original plan) it would have made him blind!

this is the same man that wants to know why i worry so much!!!
