Can I choose which room for dinner for BOG?

I managed to get a reservation for 3 at dinner for BOG at 9 PM on a Saturday in a couple of weeks.

How does the room selection go? Reviews say one room is very grand and wonderful like the movie, the other is a cafeteria that everyone says is a bit dull.

Is it possible to request the Grand Ballroom?

When you check in for dinner you can request a specific room and the castmembers will do their best, but it is only a request. For BOG the ballroom is the largest room so your chances of being seated there are very good.

At any other restaurant, a request like that would be difficult to honor. But at BOG dinner, I bet you could request any room you want. The rooms usually have plenty of empty tables since the restaurant capacity is constrained by the kitchen, not the tables, at dinner.

Check out pictures of the rooms online first, though. I think the ballroom is the loud, noisy, cafeteria-like one that you mentioned. The Rose Room is the most atmospheric (dark, stormy) and the most difficult to get (smallest, I think). We've only been there for lunch, and we have always sat in the library. Very calm, sweet, with lovely decorations.

Just make sure you're asking for the room you think you are!

Can someone please describe all the rooms and maybe recommend one for an all adult party? We've never been, and we're trying to dazzle a first time WDW visitor. Thanks!

We like the west wing. It has amazing effects ! The ballroom has a pretty window that has snow effects.

The ballroom is designed to look like an elegant ballroom - beautiful wall, ceiling and balcony decor and windows towards the back of the room have snow falling. However, it is very large and with all the tables we also felt it resembled a cafeteria.

The West Wing is the smallest room. It is dark and atmospheric, but some find it less enjoyable because so many guests walk through to see and take flash photos of the changing portraits and the rose.

The Rose Room (the Music Box room) has a huge Belle and Beast music box as the focal piece, but it isn't always open during dinner.

We have done the Ballroom - fine, but noisy and The West Wing

None of us liked the West Wing. It was so dark you could hardly read the menu. People did keep coming into take pictures which was annoying and the 2 the other annoying things were I think this is where the Beast starts off from so you barely get a glimpse of that and also its where the kitchen is, so it was just loud and noisy busy comings and goings. Just not an enjoyable experience.

I have learned not to ask for that room again.

I made my reservation a little on the early side for dinner, just in case the hostess has us wait for the Grand Ballroom. I will be with a toddler who would likely not be too happy about being in a "somewhat scary" west wing room. So we will wait some minutes extra if needed.
