Ok , so i know probably not. I just bought a new TT, will pick it up monday. I have a pop up site booked now, but would like to take the new TT dow.n to Disney. Does anyone think there is a snowballs chance in hell that disney has extra sites sitting for emergencies?

I would give them a call and see if they have anything available to switch over to. From what I gather (never done it myself) you can put a TT on the pop up sites as long as it fits but you won't have sewer hookup. You could check that out too if you call.

I was thinking that also. I dont even have the TT in my hands yet, lol. I think there has to be a way to hook up a portable grey water tote. I hope. Ill will definitely call monday, when i pick up the TT. Tbh i think the TT is the same length as my pop up when opened.

Yes I’m pretty sure you can use a portable waste tank but keep in mind there is no “dump station” at FW. You would have to dump the portable tank at an unoccupied site that has a sewer port. I.e. full, preferred or premium. I think an upgraded site would be ideal but if there are none you can surely make due with the pop-up site. I totally get the excitement of a new TT! We have a new one this year and are excited to be going to FW next year lol. We’ve been before but in a rental.

Halloween is usually booked solid. You can still use your TT in a pop up site, but contact Jason and see what he can do for you. He can be on the lookout for cancellations. Congrats on the TT!!

Sad part is the pop up was only on year number 2, i kind of just got tired of it. Im tall and everything in a pop up is on the ground, lol. My hwad hits the celling in the TT , but its not horrible. Will make me slow down a bit.

Thanks , O. Hopefully i made the right decision. At least my mom said she would go for a weekend camping trip in it. The pop up she wouldn't step 1 foot into. Shes be 83 tomorrow.

If you can't switch to a full hook up I think I would just park the TT and use it just like you would have with the pop up. I just think a portable dump tank is just going to be just another tank you have to figure out where to dump.

Start calling tonight or as soon as possible. You dont want to miss any chance. Disney is open 24/7 you just never know.

Congrats on the TT!!

Even though we have a pop up and a tent/pop up site booked, our pop up has both a grey and black water tank.

We dry camp in our pop up - have for a week and half at a time - and use a portable waste tank to dump instead of moving the pop up. The pop up has a 20 gal grey / 9 gal black.

I do all of our dumping for the pop up. I love the Rhino sewer kit (orange connections) that I have. I also have a clear Rhino elbow that attaches to the Rhino hose. I can see things drain (black tank, grey tank then water flush) and the clear elbow has a place to attach a water hose. I also have an orange water hose as opposed to the white drinking water hoses - so I know which hose is only to be used with dumping and not to be connected to city water.

I got a Barker 4 Wheel 25 gal tote tank with solid non inflatable wheels. It has a white metal handle that is removable for storage and the handle will attach to your hitch - so you can drive the waste tote to the dump or another empty site (at the Fort).

I got the blue Barker 1. The wheels don’t have to be inflated so one less thing that needs the air pump 2. 4 wheels (as opposed to 2) makes it stable and easily drivable attached to tow vehicle. 3. Has a valve on the waste outlet - important to control the waste - and no leaking - And a floaty on top to tell when the waste tote is full. 5. The waste outlet valve is low - easier to empty. The other brand the waste valve on the tank was higher - making it harder to get everything out. And I didn’t want a sludgy, stinky waste tote.

Waste totes aren’t cheap - but I’m glad we have ours. It will travel down in the pop up.

I plan on looking for empty site mid week to dump in (probably wed/thurs). And again at the end if a site is available - I figure weekends they are harder to find.

I’ll just use my Rhino sewer hose and clear elbow to dump into the tote tank (it does attach to the Barker tote and is SECURE! no leaks). Then hitch the waste tote to the Expedition, drive to empty campsite. Use Rhino hose (no elbow - won’t fit) attached to sewer outlet valve to dump at site and take orange water hose to rinse out tote so it doesn’t smell. Hooking the orange water hose to the campsites water connection.

Plus I always carry a pack of purple nitrile gloves. Easy peasy.

But - good luck to getting a bigger site! Hope to see you there in October!

Dont worry sjm9911, there are enough of us going to be there in full hookup spots when you are. We can always find a place for you to dump a portable tank. Anything can be arranged for the right adult beverage.

Pictures , just got it home.

Great Pictures!

Looks like it has a nice layout. Nice big awning too.

We had looked at one of those (before my partner set his mind on a mini toy hauler as our next camper) What I like is the conversation area between the dinette and the sofa. That’ll be nice to hang out if the weather isn’t great outside.

You’ll be ready to live at Fort Wilderness in comfort with the big bed, frig/freezer and bathroom. Plus it’s all season.

Good luck getting her ready for your trip.

Ok so i called guest services for the fort , while they couldent switch my reservationa, the lady said that it seems like your camper would be a perfect fit for that site i had. She never asked me for reservation numbers, my name , etc , so no clue at all. Unless they track by phone number? I even asked if she was familiar with the campsites and how campers fit. She said she was guest services. And i should have a magical day. So, im bringing it. I asked, they said yes, i could have had a 60 foot RV. They didnt ask. Only good thing is the pop up , opened was like 25.9 feet. The TT is 24.5 feet so it will fit. Thanks for all the help and see everyone in a few months.

Pictures , just got it home.

We looked at these at the last RV show, sort of a hard sided hybrid.

Warning, watch your head getting into bed. I jumped up into it an almost knocked my self out hitting the top of the frame. :scared: :)

I want one of these for our pop up! We have a 32 gallon, but only a two wheel. It does hitch for towing, but after DH had a heart attack a couple years ago, I'm not comfortable with him lifting it even onto the hitch. They are pricey, so going to try to sell my existing tank to put towards a 4 wheel model.

Our toilet is cassette and just empty it as needed, which isn't usually until a week at FW since it's only used by me and at night. We are typically gone all day.

@Sjm9911, congrats on the TT! It looks really nice! If you need to empty your tanks, wait until after check out time on Friday, the day after Halloween ... or early in the week prior to Halloween. We have always found a site to empty on whatever loop is next to us, but right at Halloween will be very busy. Glad some people here have been kind enough to offer use of their site's septic. That's a great plus!
