I booked Friday and paid in full with a check online. But I just saw in another thread that there is a promotion code "Funtrip" that waives the $20 handling fee. I also got the peace of mind protection package.

So I am wondering if they will accomidate me by allowing me to cancel and rebook my package with the funtrip promo code, or if this will be frowned upon.

Would you do this, for $10?

I would phone in and speak to Customer Service. They are usually very nice. I have phoned in previously when I booked through them and I had no problems applying a code over the phone.

Queen thanks for your response... I'm wonder if they will apply the code after the package has been paid in full?

I'll give it a shot! Thanks

I would try.
If they wont cancell/rebook you, perhaps you can talk them into just adding the protection plan onto your current ressie for free.

GAT usually has great customer service. The worst they can say is no they can't refund the $20, it's worth a shot!

It wouldn't accept my funtrip code when I entered it in last week. So, I just called after I had booked and paid and asked them to apply it, and they had no problem doing that for me.

Ooh I hope the OP can do that!

Especially since it sounds like the OP got trip insurance, and that is pretty much NEVER refundable, if they did cancel they would lose that trip insurance money, which would likely be much more than the fee.

Yeah, do that instead of canceling.

I wanted to cancel my package too, when Hojo added the late June dates for the ent. rate, but the fine print states that there is a $50 cancellation fee. That's clearly not worth the $10. Call instead, and they might credit you for the promo.
