Can I cancel DDP at check in?

We're checking in tomorrow at BLT for one night and I hastily decided to add the DDP...and now changed my mind. Can I decline it at check in?

No, the front desk can't remove it. You could try calling MS before you get to BLT to see if they can remove it. The policy is it must be added/removed 48 hours prior to your check-in date.

I don't think it would hurt to ask - I have added the DDP at check in - we rented the room and the renter didn't add the DDP for us - I did not request it in the initial reservation and once I attempted to contact him to add it - he never responded. They added the DDP when we checked in with no problem.

You were very lucky that they did you this for you as a non-owner. CM's are not supposed to do anything to a DVC reservation unless they are speaking with the member.

But, to OP, call MS and tell them that you changed your mind. They still might let you cancel it out.

I am an owner - maybe that is why they did it.

I know at AKL-Jambo I was not able to remove it at check in.

I would not risk it. Call before you get to the front desk and MS should be able to help you.
